The difference in that i would see though is that i donât believe there would necessarily need to be an AC and tribulation nor mark of the beast had Israel not rejected Messiah.
This gets a little messy. Obviously this would be based on the notion that Daneilâs prophecy about the AC left Israel no option (perhaps that with the 70 year captivity Israel would also inherit a tribulation). I believe the tribulation is the 70th week for the Jews. But also it seems to have some central concerns of the Lordâs to offset His intent above and beyond that of worldly nationâs. Since those kinds of nations were all we knew of historically. And His final war against human government that excludes God be dealt with. It would also seem that the seals of the scroll opening implies a deed of some sort to ownership of this world. Where it seems Jesus implies He is worthy to reclaim the deed of the earth He created by becoming that which He did not have toâŚbut for the sake of honor (in Him and His creation) He goes through with also the tribulation timeframe as a path for reclaiming the earth according to Godâs abundant heart in how He does that.
In further thinking on this though, it would seem this deed opening expression of tribulation means it is likely more than just a 70th week for Israeli restoration. But a week certain regardless how Israel reacted to her Savior. It would seem that of course at the time of Daniel God would know the future. So to me it is hard to say if Israel accepted the Lord, would it just be a gradual progression for them into a Millennial kingdom aside from a tribulation? But whichever, I want to thank you for expressing it the way that you have.
For in the way you had just simply and subtly mentioned the age of grace in like manner, it certainly was a tall drink of a reminder that this age of grace has a uniqueness to it. To us being in it just seems like how things were to go in history etc. But being noted as an age of grace in mention this way still does seem to stir my soul regarding. In a way of noting that not only is the age of grace disconnected from the week of the tribulation because one is grace and the other is tribulation (two different kinds of ages). But that the 70th week belongs to the 69th week MORE than it does to the age of grace. Yet most watchers in the church today would see the age of grace âLeakâ into the tribulation. As if the day before the tribulation belonged to the the next day in the tribulation. And NOT so much a continuation of the 69th week. Which for us is difficult to process even presented this way because it is likely that the age of grace events will lead up into the tribulation age. But whereas we have full confidence of things easily flowing into the tribulation age from the age of grace, we donât really see the tribulation as much of the same species as the 69th. So in that sense the days leading up to the tribulation seem to belong more to Israel than the church who might try and interpret prophesy she is not so much connected to at the hip thereby if that makes sense?
AND for the mark of the beast I am surprised to hear that in your experience we donât talk about it anymore. I envy youâŚlol. From the side of evangelicals i have seen, it is thought of too much. The mark, the beast, the beast system. One would think that God sent the church to tell the world about the devilâŚin contrast to how i would be thinking about this. I know evangelicals mean well and are just excited. But i have seen some twisted senses about the mark being a vaccine, or that mankind can have their DNA through food altered and no longer human enough to be redeemed. Like i guess GMOs are the mark. Insane stuff. Like science-fiction Christians. lol. Which is kind of cool, but not when dealing with the truth of His word like that.
But in my view it is a real mark because an Angel calls out to the earth not to take the mark. We will hear this angel. And it will be telling us not to take the mark of the beast. This leads me to believe it will be a mark to receive. In 1900 world knowledge doubled every 100 years. In 1945 world knowledge doubled every 25 years. Currently world knowledge doubles every 13 months. There are estimates that during our lifetime it will double every 12 hours. Taking a more conservative number, what happens when we get world knowledge doubling every month? Average of 30 days? With compounding, what we have is world knowledge doubling 500 million times by day 30. And 1 billion times on day 31. Imagine if it stayed at that rate for 3.5 years into the tribulation what world knowledge doubling might have us look like. A completely unrecognizable world? Likely. I would say we likely cannot possibly imagine what it will be like in the future. We donât have the capacity to consider it perhaps. So I would largely lean on an angel calling out to the world not to take the mark that there would be one to warn against. Especially as it seems to contrast a mark of God given to the 144 thousand prior to the AC rise to complete power. I believe it is at the midpoint that the AC kills the 2 witnesses, demands worship, an image of the beast speaks and demands taking the mark. So if the image of the beast is the mark of the beast shot caller, it would likely be pretty dang wild whatever that mark ends up being.

Jesus only started one single religion, and for sure it wasnât the religion that came out of Rome-This 2Thess 2:3 started in the 2nd century. There are hundreds today claiming to be Christian-1 is in reality.
I concur. It is good and healthy to challenge the soothsayers. Amen. I am a cessationist. And I do not believe in modern day prophets. I do have love, care and concern for those who are Charismatic but having come out of that school/camp a few decades ago, I would say that I do not believe God uses prophesy to predict future events in the church. My nomenclature actually is this: Israel are children of prophecy, whereas the church are children of providence (as we were added because of israelâs faultingâRomans 9-11). In that I believe we can witness even an unbelieving Israel to be more prophetic than a believing church because I would see us as His bride (and higher but dissimilar office). Not His prophets. What i might point to in this is how Israel being in place today will likely be the hour, minute, and second hand of prophesy countdown toward a tribulation era. Far more than whatever the watcher church movement might imply along the wayâŚis the sense i am getting anyway.
However, even though i donât believe the church has prophets in it, I do believe we live in an age of grace where Godâs providence might or could resonate with His church on earth at this time. The difference between that and prophecy to me would be that the church could get senses of Godâs providence âany one in the world could also conclude.â Something that is not hidden manna or rocket science. But perhaps something we dumb down to rather than reach to the heavens to see. Something like perhaps children might see. In this way do i believe providence might have her place for the church. And something we could actually take note of. Not with prophetic certainty. But at least maybe some things helpful to offset perhaps wrongheaded prophecies made by the church along the way.
So here is a wager if this sort of thing might actually be a thing. Based on the above I make a prediction. Not from hidden manna. Not from secret insights from God. But based on research that could be discerned by any commoner. I would suggest what might stand in the way of that being more of a thing is tendencies toward our own biases. So with that here is the prediction:
- The US midterms will provide Trump super reign in his presidency.
What that means is that I believe the midterms will provide Trump a super majority in the house and senate. What a super majority is, is different than a majority. With a majority the house and senate have more sway toward the left or right. But with a super majority, this tenure escalates a party to reign in all agendas because the % is greater to have 0 opposition. Another way to see that is it would be the âpractical existenceâ of a doing away with the filibuster. If this occurs it will grant Trump maximum authority that could be provided any US president. So that is my wager.
If I am wrong it is because i am mistaken. If i am wrong it is because I am not seeing correctly. If i am wrong it is because something is off in me. The reason I believe this to be the case is that I believe God has providentially provided even in His word something that likely âcouldâ match up with why I think its worth mentioning a wager over. And that would be Ez 38.
In the Old Testament we see Ez 38 as providing the most detail on any one prophesy in the bible. It would make sense that at a time when there are no prophets and Israel is partially hardened still, that God provide in scripture something trackable. And I believe the Ez 38 map would most likely be it. To me it looks like the Swiss watch of scripture. We see how it comes into focusâŚthat those ancient named countries align politically in our day, and it I believe implies that while the church may look to the AC, beast system, or one world government concerns to highlight the coming tribulation age, instead, God uses His word to highlight Israel (in her unbelief) as the crown jewel to watch for best biblical prophetic interpretation. In other words, the more those countries align in Ez 38 today, the closer we are likely to the close of the age of grace. Which I believe culminates in Ez 38.
If this notion is accurate, America (who by most church evaluations is not in prophecy) would grow stronger to help provide super growth and âpeace and safetyâ for IsraelâŚa condition Israel would need to have in order for it to match the Ez 38 map. So in all of this i could be dreadfully mistaken. And perhaps i am, but if looking to Israel rather than the views of the generic church watcher movements of our day to sense timing and interpretive value is how the table is set, then there is a super high likelihood of the American midterms to have necessity to be super majorities for Trump. My views are calculated by dumbing down that much. But i have held similar notions since 2918 (at least 8 years). So 8 years later, might it look more like Ez 38 forming or less?
I donât bring this up to suggest some strange fire of another kind or way to work with prophesy. I just bring it up because if this is what goes down it would probably be reasonable to consider how it is so that we would have permission to so see it coming? In an age where the church has no prophet? So if the midterms turn out like that, just saying. It might be helpful to consider Ez 38 horizon if so. I realize this is like looking at biblical prophecy from a 4th grader perspective. lol. But I have often tried to shake this view. To dismiss it out right. And it just seems hard to shake. So maybe what might come of my mention here might help snap me out of it

The problem is verse 8.
ĎόνĎÎą δὲ ĎιῌĎÎą áźĎĎá˝´ ὠδὡνĎν
âBut all these are the beginning of birth painsâ
Jesus is not talking about signs of the end or of HIs coming. Thatâs why He said verse 6, âdo not be afraid ⌠this is not yet the endâ
Jesus is telling His disciples that when they see these things to not worry, these arenât signs of the end. These are birth pains.
The thing about birth pains is they are the agony, the suffering, that is ultimately looking forward to something to come. This world suffers, it longs for something to come (see Romans 8:22).
Treating this passage as being about signs of the end is basically taking this passage and making it do a 180. The whole point is that these ARENâT signs, when we see these things they donât mean the end has arrived, these are birth pains. Youâve interpreted this passage entirely backward.
