Hello everyone. This is my first time posting on Crosswalk Forum despite being on here a few times and didn’t have the courage to post. I have a few things weighing on my heart and still feeling grief 5 years post death of my divorced spouse. I would greatly appreciate any input/answers you have to my questions.
Does God consider you divorced if you are legally divorced on earth? Will your spouse whom you are divorced from still be your husband in Heaven?
Is it normal not to love a future significant other as much as you did your divorced spouse, and is that okay?
Mat_22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

There are a lot of passionate emotions in youth. When those are associated with a particular person, it is not often duplicated when one is older and more perceptive.
It is important to remember that biblical love is essentially selflessness (1Cor 13:4-7) Emotions are reactions to people, events, and memories. Emotions can come and go, but the decision to love can be a solid foundation on which to build and even a basis for pleasant emotions.
Thank you so much! God bless.
