Mosque shooting

Tragically, three Muslims were killed in a shooting at a San Diego Mosque recently. Unfortunately, I’m afraid some Christians and Conservatives will see it as a “good thing” or they “got what they deserved for invading America” when in reality they are celebrating Muslims going to He:ice_hockey::ice_hockey:. This would be very upsetting. How can I deal with this affecting my faith ?

I think it’s important to remember that celebrating the death of people, regardless of religion, is not consistent with the heart of Christ.

Jesus called us to love our neighbors and even our enemies. That does not mean we all agree on theology, beliefs, or politics, but it does mean human life matters and suffering should grieve us, not entertain us.

I also would try not to let the worst reactions from some individuals define Christianity as a whole. Sadly, every group has people who respond out of fear, anger, or hatred. But there are also many Christians who would see this tragedy with compassion and sorrow.

I’m sorry this is weighing on your heart.

Jesus never celebrated the loss of a soul to hell.

He taught us to prsy for, to do good to those who hate/persecute us.

Aas John3:16 says God So Loved the world. think about that. A world that did not acknowledge him, follow him or love him, yet he loves that world full of people.

That is our example.
