There are things in my son life that cloud his sight from the actual truth. Pray that he’s able to see the light through the storm that surrounds him. Thanks
Praying your son’s eyes are opened to God’s truth and that the Lord gently clears the fog with His light. He sees him, even now.
Of course, I will pray for him; however, let me tell you a short story. My oldest daughter, who is my Daughter by choice, my niece, but she has always seen me as Dad, now 33 with two Master degrees in Psychology, I always, like my other three children, desired for her to accept Jesus and be saved.
I prayed, invited her to church a few times, tried to talk to her here and there, to no prevail. I stopped. I continued going to church and doing the things I did, but I stopped trying to get her to see the truth. I continued praying, and one day, out of the blue, both her and her mother came with me to church. To make this somewhat short, in time, they both accepted Christ, were both baptised, and she even went on a mission trip to Guatemala.
Will it “stick?” That is between her and God. Will my kids all accept Christ? I would love them to, but just like me, you, and everyone else, once they reach the age of accountability, then it is solely up to them.
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
It has been my experience that people, including those you love the most, see what you do, far more than hear what you have to say. Just lead by example and let God lead him through, and to.
Peter
Understood. You couldn’t have put that in a better form for me. Thanks a lot. Makes perfect sense.
