Natural Family Month, Good idea or no?

I am unable to provide the link, but there is a vote and movement, in certain areas, I believe in Ohio to completely avoid pride month and celebrate instead “Natural family month” going back to and celebrating core christian family values and moving the spotlight away from celebrating the morally corrupt. the article was posted march 29th on fox news.
Ideas, opinions?

Satan sets the course of the world (Eph 2:2). Many Christians have become entangled in the attempt to wrest control of the world from him.

It sounds a little silly to me and perhaps combative. What does it hope to gain? We don’t need special months or days to reinforce what we believe and no one who doesn’t believe will be persuaded by it. If anything, it would only raise up anger seeing it as a denial to what they falsely believe.

It does sound silly and I think the point of it is to be combative, and you are right we shouldn’t need a day or month to do what should come “naturally” but I feel maybe it isn’t directed at the people who already include this in their day to day lives but those who don’t but should.

I can see both sides of this.

On one hand, it does feel a bit unnecessary if something is already part of everyday life. But on the other hand, a lot of these “months” seem less about changing minds and more about highlighting something people feel is being overlooked.

I guess for me the question is whether it actually leads to something meaningful, or just adds more noise. Sometimes these things can bring awareness, but other times they just create more division.

if i “were” ohio, id just not do pride month, and leave it at that. to do natural family month, is giving too much attention to the pride stuff inadvertently. id rather just like, move on like a normal person like im trying to do as it is.

I see the points of it drawing more attention or causing problems it already is doing both apparently, and we shouldn’t have to bring attention to something that as the name states itself should be “natural”.

These months do bring attention to things that are over looked, yet with how society is and has been the last few years isn’t the natural family, or core family values, something that has been pushed to side, disregarded, made to seem strange or out dated, and over looked? @wantthetruth @ellenvera
I appreciate the input

Christians are supposed to be salt and light in the world. What exactly is your point - I don’t get it. Christians should sit back, watch, and let Satan drag as many people to hell with him and do nothing? For real? Have you read the entire Bible?

So do you think people who stand up to evil are being “combative?”

No, but it depends on how they do it, peaceful means or violence.
I am 100% supportive of demonstrating peacefully the walk and way of God, and spreading love, being against evil or darkness doesn’t have to mean aggression, kill them with kindness, wear them down gently by expressing true concern, and guide the wayward back to the flock.
Band Reeves “Come rest” is a song that comes to mind.

This is a perfect Idea. @BetterDays
