There’s a wonderful course originally started by Neil Anderson that addresses all the reasons why a Christian might be oppressed by demons. It’s called Freedom in Christ and many churches run this program for their people. Neil has also written several books that talk about this problem. One is called The Bondage Breaker and the other is called Victory Over the Darkness. I recommend both books.
If you can’t find the Freedom in Christ course in a nearby church that you can join, then if you have access to RightNowMedia, you will find the videos there and can order the Steps to Freedom book from Amazon. The Lord can certainly set you free, but the underlying issue of why they have access to you needs to be resolved as well. Thank you for your courage in sharing that with us. It’s a common problem and you’re not alone.
@Jesussaves Please allow me to speak to you openly and with Godly love. I do not believe you are demon-possessed. If you are a child of God, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, I believe you cannot be fully demon-possessed or controlled, as the Holy Spirit prevents total takeover.
“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness.
But if the Spirit of him that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:9-11
Now you can experience severe demonic oppression, influence, or attack through temptation, harassment, or spiritual warfare, especially if you open doors to the devil through sin or past involvement in the occult. The only way to resist these attacks is with Scripture and prayer.
“Neither give place to the devil.”
Though sin, you are creating opportunities for influence. Resist the devil.
Believers are instructed to resist the devil and his influence, not cast demons out of themselves, using spiritual armor and God’s Word.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
