Heya, I’m max. i joined this site because I’m new to Christianity after being raised by a satanist/cultist mother, and being criticized for my spiritual and religious beliefs – and god saved me from my suicide after answering my prayers. I am very much looking forward to this site and learning some new things – and even teaching some things. I get called a woke Christian and “unfaithful” by a friend a lot for being on the democratic side and being LGBT. But, I am an open book. any questions you have of me will be answered with little to no offense.

Heya Max. I appreciate your transparency.
Being “new to Christianity” you will soon realize that the single focused trajectory of all Christians is God’s stated promise to conform each of us into the image of Jesus. We all start somewhere different, but we all end up in the same place.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:28-29)
God started this wonderful work in us, and He has promised to finish it…
…till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head–Christ-- (Ephesians 4:13-15)
I appreciate you stating where you are starting. I know you will end up in a very different place. But for now, buckle in. If you are truly “In Christ”, you are in for the ride of your life. Hopefully some here on this forum will help you on your way.
