“A new path” and “A new start”. Those both sound very promising.

There are many “paths” one can walk, and all of them, but the one you are on, are new to you. I assume you are currently on a path that has some negative issues of some sort. What those issues are, I can have no idea, but I can suggest a path that I can guarantee is positive, and one from which you will no longer seek escape.

The single new path that absolutely promotes health of the whole person (body, soul, and spirit) is not new, not secret, not ambiguous, but it is well-marked, well-maintained, and well-worn by many who have traveled it before you. It is very narrow, and often arduous and may become very difficult to keep walking, but the traveling is always glorious, the sigfhts breathtaking, and the destination is one of sure-hope. Your new path will not be found here, among the sheep, some of whom are keeping their nose to the trail and their feet in steady cadence, but others are more adventurous, pushing their noses through the wires of the fence, always looking for greener grass or a short-cut to the destination. Some, I assume are actually just wolves in sheep’s clothing, and as far as you know, I may be one of those. So don’t follow me, or others you meet in this fold, but rather follow hard after the single shepherd who not only knows the right path, but who actually created the “highway of holiness” (Isaiah 35:8).

The LORD is your only shepherd; follow Him and you shall want for nothing else.

He makes you lie down in green pastures; He will lead you beside the still waters, He will restore your soul; He will lead you in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. (from Psalm 23)

This path is not for the faint-of-heart, but don’t worry, He will give you a new heart anyway. Once underway, this ride will not stop until it has completed its track. However, it is actually suitable for small children, people with pre-existing conditions like heart, neck, or back problems, expectant mothers, and individuals susceptible to motion sickness or dizziness. Even so, you should keep all body parts inside the ride, always use safety equipment properly, and secure any loose clothing and jewelry. And,Oh, I suggest you leave your cell phone behind.

Enjoy the ride
