Not by might..... a message for someone here

**3 **Are you so foolish? You began by the Holy Spirit. Are you now trying to finish God’s work in you by your own strength? -Galations 3:3

To my family I love dearly,

This morning as I read my Bible the Holy Spirit gave me this verse for a person(s) here.
”Why do you continue to struggle with change? You cannot overcome your sinful nature without me. Did I not freely give you salvation? I will certainly not abandon you now.”

Our God makes us holy, not our strength and effort. Let go and let the cross do its job.

-Peace and love

I don’t think this is for me, but I’ve been in the place of the person it’s for, whoever that might be. My problem was I didn’t really get it and wondered where my heavenly zap was. “Come on Lord! Fix me!” So I tried and tried making rules for myself to end up breaking them. Plus, I figured I didn’t give God much to work with, with all the childhood crap and a sinful lifestyle. And yet there were others who seemed to be instantly cured from all kinds of stuff the moment they received Jesus. So, what about me Lord? Where’s my cure?

Eventually I just gave up because I wasn’t getting anywhere. I focused then on relationship. Prayer, His word and confession every time I saw something in me I didn’t like. In confession I handed it over because my rule days were done. I discovered that what God wants is a relationship with us. A heartfelt, humble, intimate relationship. As I read the Bible and all those people I could never live up to, that’s what they had. An intimate relationship and the rest of it just followed. Jesus said, “Apart from me, you can do nothing” and ain’t that the truth. I still have a long ways to go, but I’m not worried. I’m on God’s timetable.
