It started like any other routine ultrasound—until the nurse suddenly went silent. A mom-to-be had just discovered something almost no one expects: she was pregnant… while already pregnant. Known medically as “superfetation,” this rare occurrence happens when a woman conceives a second baby while already carrying one. It’s so unusual that many doctors may never see it in their careers.

Situations like this spark more than just curiosity—they challenge our assumptions about science, miracles, and divine timing. Is this just a quirky biological glitch? Or a reminder that God still surprises us in ways that defy logic?

We know God opens wombs, closes wombs, and knits life together in secret (Psalm 139). But when the headlines sound more like sci-fi than scripture, how should we respond? With awe? Skepticism? Celebration?

Have you ever experienced—or heard—of something so rare it could only be God?

It is amazing.

But another thought might be, are we being affected by our environment? Could this be caused by genetics gone wrong? Could human beings be physically changing in our physical capacity?

Births, birth defects, fertility and infertility and so on. The rules could be changing.

It is also a question of spiritual realities. We live in an age marked by chaos, where the boundaries seem to be shrinking and disappearing, where definitions no longer hold true. In an age of chaos, in the Domain of Spiritual Chaos, can any rules remain? Including laws that govern stability of weather, and season amd allow life to survive let alone thrive?

Chaos does not sustain life. Only God can. But what do we worship? On what do we focus our hearts and thoughts? What do we desire? An end of rule, law, order, truth, justice… This is where humanity’s mind wonders. And we embody the times. Or the times embody us. As above, so below, what once was is not now but will be again.
