October is Infant Loss Awareness Month—Thinking about All Those Affected

I wanted to acknowledge that this month is Infant Loss Awareness Month. I know so many of you have experienced infant loss, whether miscarriage, stillbirth, or something else. If it hasn’t affected you directly, it has surely affected a friend, family member, or someone you know.

In light of this, I wanted to share this article on what the Bible has to say about infant loss. I love how the writer of this article doesn’t just provide encouraging platitudes, but she really invites you to sit in the grief and then find hope because God doesn’t shy away from the brokenness and heartache in this world.

Praying this encourages you this month. Please share with anyone you know who might need some encouragement during Infant Loss Awareness Month. :folded_hands: :revolving_hearts:

10 Bible Verses for Infant Loss (with Biblical Insights and Encouraging Quotes)

When the cradle is empty and the house feels too quiet, God’s Word becomes a shelter for a heart that can’t stop aching. There are no easy answers for a loss so deep, but there is comfort in knowing that every tear is seen, every sorrow noticed, and every little life is precious to Him.

He reminds us, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you” (Jeremiah 1:5). Our children are not forgotten. They are known and loved by the One who holds eternity.

If you are grieving, take heart. Heaven is not far away. The same Savior who welcomed little ones in His arms (Mark 10:14) holds your child now, safe and whole. And one day, all that’s been broken will be restored in His perfect love.

Until that day, let His promise carry you: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes” (Revelation 21:4). You are not alone, and your story—your child’s story—is still held in His hands. :revolving_hearts:
