Hello. It’s good to be part of Crosswalk Forums. Let me tell you a little about myself.
I was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago called Burbank. My parents were both educated in the Catholic school system and so I, along with my brother and two sisters, were raised Catholic as well.
When I was about thirteen or fourteen years old, my brother Steve became a Seventh-Day Adventist. My parents were heartbroken, but I was in my rebellious period and it didn’t matter to me what church he went to.
At about that time, Steve invited me to attend Revelation seminar. I jumped at the chance to learn the identity of the Antichrist and get some “inside information” about the end of the world. I didn’t expect to learn that Jesus sacrificed Himself on the cross for me, personally, and even if I was the only person in all of human history to sin, He would have died just for me. (Of course, that goes for you, too.) In response, I was baptized on Halloween, 1987.
I went on to study Youth Ministry at Andrews University and earned my Bachelor’s of Religion degree in 1994. Unfortunately I was never able to find a church in my area that had room in their budget for a professional Youth Pastor.
Around 2015 I moved to Georgia and I now attend the Buford Family Seventh Day Adventist Church. Soon after I moved here I became disabled and now I spend much of my time online.
At this stage in my life I am still single and I’m looking for some Christian fellowship.
