God lets people die because He needs them in heaven

I can’t help but think Biblical illiteracy is a big factor in these beliefs or sayings.

And wishful thinking. My mom’s cousin did this when her son, an atheist, was killed in Vietnam.
I can’t help but think of that dogs crossing the rainbow bridge nonsense.
