Marching band competition season is in full force. Here’s a prayer for all the band kids:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of music — for the way it brings people together and lets us express joy, creativity, and teamwork.
As our marching band practices, performs, and competes this season, I pray Your hand of safety and blessing over every student, director, and helper.
Keep them safe from harm, and steady their steps on the field.
Give them focus in every rehearsal, energy in every performance, and encouragement when things get tough.
Help them remember that success isn’t just about trophies or scores — it’s about the memories they’re making, the friendships they’re building, and the character You’re shaping in them.
When they play, let their music carry joy.
When they march, let their hearts stay humble.
And when they face competition, let their attitude reflect grace, gratitude, and good sportsmanship.
May every note, every beat, and every step bring glory to You, God — the One who gave them their talent and their passion.
