Prayer for mind

Please pray for me. I broke a mirror last month and it appears I’m having bad luck. I know it’s superstition, but I keep hearing childhood memories from ancestors— if you break a mirror it’s 7 years of bad luck. My husband and I are prayerful people and he says don’t give into the fear or devil. But every time something bad happens I just can’t help it. I keep praying no weapon formed against me will prosper, and the armor— but it seems like I’m I’m struggling

I know it is the devil and not God

I’m praying for you. Breaking a mirror has no power over a child of God, and “bad luck” is not stronger than the Lord’s care. Fear is real, but it is not the truth. Jesus is your refuge, and no superstition can overrule His authority. Keep standing on God’s Word, reject the lie, and ask Him for peace of mind and a steadfast heart.

I think you need to renew your mind. Lies from your childhood and lies that have been passed down generations from our ancestors can be hard to break free of. We break free by believing what God has said and not what they have said. I would get a paper and pen and start searching the Bible for verses that speak directly into your situation. If a verse speaks to you, then write it down. When you’ve gathered 4 or 5 verses, and in your own words, form them into a sentence and repeat them out loud once or twice a day. Eventually they will take hold in your heart and you will be free of superstition.

Thank you and God Bless you for responding
