I have a close friend and he’s a good person, but he’s also living without Jesus in his life. I don’t want to leave him behind . We’ve shared our lives together for over 35 years, we both lived in sin together but now I’ve quit drinking alcohol and taking drugs and have accepted Jesus as my Savior, and i want for my friend to do the same.
@paulshoemake First, welcome to the family. I will be praying for you and your friend. Would you share his first name?
Peter
Welcome, @paulshoemake. I’m so glad you’re here, and thank you for sharing something so close to your heart. It’s clear how much you care for your friend, and what a powerful journey you’ve been on. I’ll be joining you in prayer that he finds his way to the hope and peace you’ve come to know in Christ. God’s timing is often mysterious, but your love and example are already planting seeds. Keep walking with Him, you’re not alone in this.
How did he react when you told him you were a Christian?
Is he willing to talk about his life and about what changed you?
Are you ready to remain a friend, one who while you don’t give him money for drink or drugs, will feed him, help him in other practical ways and to be there for him?
