A devastating landslide in Sudan’s Darfur region has left entire families grieving, homes destroyed, and villages reeling. Heavy rains triggered the collapse, sweeping away lives in an instant. Survivors are left without shelter, food, or even the comfort of loved ones. These are moments when words fail, and all we can do is lift our voices in prayer.

Natural disasters like this raise difficult questions. Why does suffering strike so suddenly? How do communities recover when loss feels overwhelming? And what role should Christians play—whether through prayer, aid, or advocacy—when tragedies happen across the world?

Even when we cannot be physically present, we are called to bear one another’s burdens. Scripture reminds us that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). But as we pray, we are also invited to wrestle with how faith meets disaster, and how God’s people can shine light in the darkest moments.

Please take a moment to pray for those impacted in Sudan: for comfort to grieving families, strength for rescue workers, and provision for those who have lost everything.
