I tried to make a post that included a link, but I got a message saying that new members are not allowed to post links. Could someone please let me know how long this restriction lasts, or what requirements I need to meet before I can share links?

I’m not an admin here, but the restriction you speak of makes sense as a minor internal control against SPAM, bots that post traffic driving links, and disasociated self-promotion. You are of course able to make your point, and to suggest others visit another URL by posting the name of the site. It may be an inconvience to newcommers, but once you have been here a while, you will be glad it is in place. I just flagged three posts this morning as SPAM, obvious traffic drivers, sirens attempting to lure folks to their den.
