Heavenly Father,
We ask for the peace and healing of Paul’s family as they process his passing from this world. We pray for healing where ever it is needed. Healing for the grief and the loss. Healing for the void left behind. Healing for any and all unspoken words, missed opportunities, misunderstandings and issues that went unresolved. Healing for broken relationships that may not have been mended and repaired. Healing for sins that were never completely dealt with or forgiven by those involved.
And we thank you, Heavenly Father, for whatever Joy Paul brought into this world. For being a Father, a Husband, a Son, a Brother, an Uncle, and a Friend, whatever roles he played in this life for those in his life. We thank you when he gave unselfishly, when he stretched beyond himself, when he thought of others, when he went out of his way for those he loved and maybe those he didn’t. For the example he set, the challenges he brought or overcame. We thank you for this man that lived, all he was to those in this world. We thank you that he lived.
And we pray for his soul, Your forgiveness and Your Grace over him. We pray the Blood of Christ over him and his family. We pray for that peace that surpasses all understanding to come to rest upon this family now. And we pray that the Holy Spirit holds this man now, at the side of Christ. We pray the angels will make known their presence and be with this family as they grieve and move forward from this wretched moment.
And we trust in You Lord, with all of this, in the Name of Christ Jesus, thr Name Above All Names, Who is Gracious and Kind and Faithful even when we fail to be.
In Your Name, Amen.
Prayer aside, grief can take a year to process and even longer. When each of my parents passed, I spent a year in shock, in and out of numbness and emotional intensity. Give yourselves Grace as you move forward. And know that the worst of the grief will subside with time. God fills the Void. We are not left destitute.
And there may be dreams, and little nudges from heaven that assure you Paul is not completely gone but transformed and in some form still with you. Nothing is lost forever. Trust in Christ. Trust in your Heavenly Father.
Peace and Love,
Tillman.
