How does Luke 12:2-3 guide us in understanding the role of transparency and accountability within the church?

Tricky. If the pastor;

Treats the rich and poor the same in confronting behavior, yes.

If it is a case of actual sin or violation of church rules, yes.

I watched as a church member who opposed a pastor was removed from leadership by the pastor because the pastor found out the guy was a closet smoker who was very ashamed his addiction.

The man was no longer in the pastors way. Others in the church smoked but nothing was said to them. This was my old denomination that has a list of rules a mile long.

If it is a case of something odd but not a sin, pastor needs to get his nose out of other peoples business. Scolding someone for dressing like a Klingon and attending Dragoncon instead of the church retreat is judgmental
