Holy Father in Heaven, I come to you with such heaviness, weariness and anxiety in my heart. As you know, I love my husband but he is often controlling and emotionally abusive to me. I have so many wounds that hurt deeply and I give them to You, Lord, asking for You to heal and strengthen me. Fill me with more and more of You and Your Holy Spirit. I know my husband also has deep emotional wounds of his own and I ask You to heal them Father. I ask you to draw Him back to you, to get his attention and bring conviction and correction where it is needed in his life. I choose to forgive him ( as You have been so faithful to always forgive me) and I bless him and hand him over to You to deal with Lord. I don’t want to divorce or move out, but some days the pain is almost too much to bear and so I turn to You, Lord, asking for Your guidance with what YOU want me to do! Only You know what lies ahead Lord. Please speak to me and give me wisdom, counsel, and discernment with what is Your will for me in this situation. Light my path ahead and make it clear which direction I am to walk in, opening doors that need opened and closing doors that are not in accordance with Your will. Fill me with Your peace when I am walking in Your will but alert me if I step off Your path and guide me back on track. If it is Your will for me to leave, them make a way for me, Lord. You are the way maker and miracle worker after all! Lord, if it is something in me You are wanting to change, then please show me and change my heart. Father, I also ask You to bring healing to my husbands physical body. As You know, he has had all of these tests and they can’t find what is wrong with him. I hate to see him suffer, Lord, but if it is for a purpose of Yours then allow Your work to be done. I desperately ask that You restore peace in my marriage, household and esp in myself. Lord, You are the prince of peace! I invite You in to fully work in myself and my husband. Soften my husband’s hardened stubborn heart, Lord and change him to be more like You, which would only increase my love for him more. Lord, let faith in You, hope and love increase in our marriage more and more. You are able Lord. I believe in miracles … there is NOTHING You can’t do, Lord! I give You all the praise, honor and glory forever! I love You and thank You for listening to my prayer and that You are faithful to answer my heartfelt cries! In Jesus’ name I lift up this prayer. Amen
