THE “TURNING POINT” PHENOMENON HAS BECOME THE RIGHT REVOLUTION

The wall-to-wall media & news coverage of the death of Charlie Kirk is overwhelming, not to mention, the Nationally televised statement from President Trump.

Fallout from any negative commentary about Kirk has ranged from public condemnation on social media to actual terminations of employees, business contracts and marketing campaigns. Never have I seen so many corporate statements and sanctions issued related to the death of a public figure.

“You have no idea what you just have unleashed”

Erika Kirk’s statement regarding her huband’s murder is only just being realized, evidenced by the posthumous increase in online followers and views of his socials. The public demonstrations in various cities are comprised of people from different faith groups uniting with a common cause and their outcry is deafening.

Is the hysteria to be short lived or will Charlie Kirk’s legacy evolve into a societal-consciousness shift towards righteousness?

Many many years ago, I knew a young man who was emotionally disturbed. One day, he picked up his mother’s favorite pet, a small black Shih-poo, and shook it aggressively. That night, the small dog crawled on top of him and urinated all over him while he slept. Years later, that poor dog mysteriously died twelve or so hours after the man’s mother passed away. Possibly from grief.

There are two lessons to gleen from this.

  1. When you go out of your way to hurt any living creature, whether it be to bully or belittle, to demonize or to out right assault, or for revenge and retribution- there will always be a repercussion. It is simple cause and effect, reaping what you sow- What we give others will always come back to us, whether or not we can accept our own part in the progression of events. AND ONLY the Forgiveness of Christ on the Cross can break the cycle of revenge and violence that will not stop until all reciprocating parties are dead. And it must be expressed through one of the injured parties caught in the cycle . It must somewhere begin where it can end the cycle
  2. Disturbed, Mentally Unwell Delusional People Who Do Not Operate From A Place Of Reason Cannot Be Reasoned With. Narcissists do not know how to show unconditional love, or forgiveness. They only care about image because they cannot exist without the illusion of being flawless. And everyone in the Narcissist’s Orbit either serves to maintain that illusion or is cast out of that orbit. Everyone else is just someone to blame, use and throw away. And social media has given us many such false realities by people who need to be seen.

Until we treasure the Qualities of Christ, and make them our own, we will not change our fate.

We must value life. We must value Creation. We must learn the lesson, and pass the test. There is no Kingdom for thieves and murderers. Only a prison cell, shackles and chains.

We will all share the same fate in this hour. Choose healing and unification, or choose civil war and a nation undone. But make no mistake- Everyone is making a choice. And all will be blessed great healing or suffer great loss.

Charlie Kirk’s death highlights just how cruel and heartless the left can be. But we already knew this was coming. “Men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19). Outrage alone will never fix this. “Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse” (2 Timothy 3:13).

The real question isn’t if his legacy will birth a social revolution. It’s if people will repent and turn to Christ. “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). Real righteousness doesn’t come from politics or movements. It comes from putting your faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 3:22). Without that, all the noise will be silent, and the darkness will continue to spread.

Change first starts in our own hearts. When we follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Set the desire to destroy our enemy down, and heal the divide.

When we judge others, we judge ourselves. And what we do upon others we do upon Christ. Whether we move to destroy life or save it. And when we help others, love others, we show love to Christ and do these things upon Him..

Did ABC go too far?

By making threats from the FCC, a government entity, is this a 1st amendment/free speech infringement?

Regardless of jimmy is in the right or wrong I think he’s allowed to voice his opinion and give his honest input. Nobody has to agree but his freedom of speech is his American right

Ahhh, but that’s the thing, isn’t it. Nobody is infringing on his “freedom of Speech”. He is still allowed to say anything he wishes, anywhere a platform is offered him, and I am sure he will continue to do so. I suspect the network’s decision has more to do with protecting wealth than it does with “right and wrong” or “freedom of speech”.

Friends and Disciples of Jesus

In the aftermath of this recent assassination, we respond to both the evil of the crime and the evil that it subsequently spawns. God has perfect reasons for His Children (disciples) to respond to evil in a Godly way, a testimonial way, a productive way, a non-intuitive way, a way of faith and not of flesh.

While Jesus declared that the message he was bringing would foment division, (Matt 10:34-39, Luke 12:51-53) He, and the apostolic writers, teach all disciples how to respond in the face of that division.

I am suggesting you turn to the following verses in your own bible, and read them in their respective context. These are some pretty hard hitting admonitions – admonitons, as disciples of Jesus, we must not ignore.

Matthew 5:38-48

"You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.

"You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?

Therefore, you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Romans 12:16-21

Be of the same mind toward one another.
Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble.
Do not be wise in your own opinion.
Repay no one evil for evil.
Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.
If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 14:16-19

Therefore, do not let your good be spoken of as evil; for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men. Therefore, let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.

Hebrews 12:14

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

James 3:18

Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

1 Peter 3:10-12

For “He who would love life and see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.
For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their prayers;
But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil.”

… and others

Responding to evil in the flesh has unforeseen negative consequences; the least of which is that it enflames the opposition rather than subduing it. This strategy is contrary to our mission. Meeting force with more force is the recipe for escalation, and it is not testimonial representing the King of Peace. I am not advocating turning a blind eye, accommodating evil, or being “tolerant” or “accepting” or any posture that would present uncertainty in the claims of Truth. I am suggesting a response that holds very closely to the teaching from God that we have been given. These admonitions of responding to evil are not suggestions, just good ideas, an option to consider, or a path of least resistance. These admonitions are the very tools God uses to defeat evil, and the very tools Jesus used to defeat the ultimate evil, death. We are subjects of the King, and doing things our own way is insubordination.

I don’t believe it’s right to allow a person to continue spewing hate speech that incites unstable individuals to commit murder, as appears to have happened with Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin. James 3: 6 states, “The tongue is a fire… and it is set on fire of hell.” Kimmel jokes, lies and sows division for ratings. But Proverbs 18: 21 is stark: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”

This is not an issue of stifling free speech. It is an issue of responsible speech. ABC is a private company and is justified in intervening when a person utilizes their platform for spreading venom. Free speech may protect Kimmel from the state, but it will not protect him from God. “Every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment” (Matthew 12:36).

Freedom of speech does not equate freedom from consequences. It’s one thing for him to have the right to speak in America. It’s another to abuse that right with a huge platform to spew venom that incites people to commit murder. That’s not benign “opinion.”

The Bible is clear: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21). Words that incite violence or spread hatred are not protected speech. Freedom of speech means you can’t be stopped by the government, but that you are free to suffer consequences when your words lead to consequences.

Jesus said, “Every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment” (Matthew 12:36). Legally, Kimmel may be in the clear in this country. Spiritually, however, he will not escape unscathed before God when his irresponsible words have destroyed lives.

Laws regarding slander (spoken words that are intended to harm someone’s reputation) and libel (published words with the intent to cause harm) fall under the category of defamation and are illegal in the United States.

[ON PROBLEM FROM JIMMY KIMMEL]

The monologue speech that started it:

Kimmel: “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,”

  1. FCC head, Carr theatened ABC that if they wouldn’t do something about Kimmel, the FCC would - “the hard way”; Carr then suggested Affiliates act.
  2. Broadcaster Affiliates, Nexstar and Sinclair,[1] decided to not air the show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” based on the above speech.
  3. The business decision involved parent company, Disney as well, and they decided to pull the show indefinitely.

While agreeing with the Disney/ABC decision, Texas Republican Senator and constitutional lawyer, Ted Cruz criticized the FCC threat on his podcast:

“I think it is unbelievably dangerous for government to put itself in the position of saying, ‘We’re going to decide what speech we like and what we don’t, and we’re going to threaten to take you off air if we don’t like what you’re saying.'”…“And it might feel good right now to threaten Jimmy Kimmel,” the senator said. “But when it is used to silence every conservative in America, we will regret it.”


I feel Kimmel is a comedian, who has been doing his left-leaning, opening monologue for 20 years now. Johnny Carson’s golden rule of not mixing politics and late night ended long ago. When Democrats return to power, we will fear their retribution.

Erika Kirk was named the new CEO of Turning Point USA, replacing her husband, Charlie Kirk. Within days of the death of Charlie, TPUSA has been inundated with over 50,000 new chapter requests. Currently, the organization oversees 2,000 high school and college chapters.

“Our Savior said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.’ That young man … I forgive him,” Erika Kirk said. "I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and it’s what Charlie would do … The answer to hate is not hate.”

I see more openly Christians now since Charlie’s death, than I have ever in my life. Christianity had less meaning to me before. Now I want to be Christian and follow the road of Christ. I have been alone and lost for too long. Young folks are much more open about their faith and it inspires me to follow.
