The American Penny

I disagree with most Trump decisions, but this one I heartedly approve of. The penny costs four pennies to produce, there is an absolute lack of competition for zinc suppliers, and tremendous influence by the provider on congress.

If there is a need, production can begin again, but without the zinc lobbyist and more supplier options.

Trump makes no cents.

Hi,
Wouldn’t it be better to fix the economy so that the penny doesn’t cost $.04 to produce?
Either that, or just get rid of all change.
If we continue on this path, we will have no need for coins anyway.
For that matter, eliminate cash altogether.
With the use of debit cards, we are moving to that reality.
Think about it.
I only carry change when I have received it back on a purchase.
My change goes into a change jar.
At the end of the year, that change become my charity contribution for the year.
Two years ago it went to the Salvation Army.
(I spent last year in assisted living and made no cash transactions.)
I keep an emergency $100 in cash on me.
But all of my transactions are through the debit card, or by personal check.
I have very little need for cash.
Boy you can sure see that this could be the prep work for people accepting the mark of the beast.
We are probably not that far away.
All the more reason to be aware and ready.
Or as I heard a pastor say, “You gotta be prayed up.”

Blessings

There is no “mark of the beast “ to worry about. But there are other threads on that topic

Pennys are not being taken out of circulation and there are plenty to go around.

If the penny meeds to stay in production, the zinc supplier needs to cut costs by not pouring huge sums into lobbying Congress.
