The Dangers of Prideful Wisdom

Title: The Dangers of Prideful Wisdom

Proverbs 26:12 warns us against being wise in our own eyes, suggesting that even a fool has more hope than someone consumed by their own perceived wisdom. Why is it so dangerous to rely on our own understanding and elevate ourselves above others? How can we cultivate true humility and seek God’s wisdom instead of our own? What are some practical steps we can take to recognize and correct prideful thinking in our daily lives?

In my experience, folks who are proud of their wisdom have little of it. Much like the long line at the spiritual gift convention of those claiming discernment.

@Historyprof I discern that you are very wise! :joy:
