The place and the hour

One day, it was proclaimed near and far that a beloved King had returned to the city. 3 men heard the news from their televisions and hurried to make their way to him.

The first man used his phone. People were posting photos and live viideos showing the King greeting people. But.each post showed a different location.

The second man also used his phone. He reached out to all the people on his friend’s list. But they too said the King was at different locations.

The third man, who had no phone or internet access, was looking up and around and saw that the enemy had invaded the city. So he quickly ran to safety.

One day, the enemy said to himself- I want to steal the land from the Holy People. These are the people who love God. So he chose to turn them against each other to distract them from their love of God

He began whispering to some people, “True believers only greet people by saying Good Morning!”

To others he whispered, “If you love God, you will only say Good Afternoon!”

And again, to another set of people he whispered, “Only the holiest people greet others by saying, Good Evening.”

And so with each and every hello, the people who once loved God argued and fought amongst themselves.

Finally it was a small child who asked, “Shouldn’t the greeting be based on the time of day?”

But so distracted were the people that they no longer had a clue what time of day it was.

This was the hour the enemy atracked.
