The World Labels verses What God Calls His Own

Greetings in the Lord to Everyone

I was pondering over good labels verses bad labels that try and define us through our earthly life.

People judge other people by these labels which brings separation:
upper class
lower class
working class
welfare class
low-income class
Poverty class
where we live, what we live in, how we live

People judge other people by these labels:
Black or African America (I have never been to Africa; I was born and raised in the United States of America; I was born Free)
White
Latino
Mexican
Indian and so on…

People judge other people by the way they look:
long or short hair
bald heads
clear or not so clear skin
blemishes, moles, skin tags or freckles
tall, to tall, short, to short, fat, full figure, skinny, or just right size,
perfect teeth, not so perfect teeth, no teeth, partials and dentures

NEWS FLASH:
I’m so very happy that God does Not define us by those labels, but He calls us redeemed through the Blood of Jesus and loved unconditionally, sealed with His Holy Spirit.
Healed by Jesus stripes.
Blessed through the seed of Abraham
Wonderfully made
Justified and Righteous through the One that paid the ultimate price to redeem us back to God so we can have eternity with Him,our true Righteousness.
Forgiven once we turn to Him and repent of our sins, accept Jesus as His Son, and our Savior.
Adopted sons and daughters / His Children
New Creations
More than Conquerors
Favored through His Grace and Mercy that’s new every morning
We are more than Overcomers through the Blood of Jesus

Jesus said out of the heart, the mouth will speak (Matt.15:18)

God defines us by our relationship to HIM through Jesus Christ even while we may abound in sin, He still loves us unconditionally and is constantly trying to draw us to Himself with His everlasting love.

Just food for thought. I left out a lot of Scriptures on purpose:

My Prayer:
Father God, thank you for giving us revelations that it’s only because of Jesus that we are made righteous in Your Sight, for He is the Way, the Truth and the Life in which we can humbly and boldly without guilt, shame, or condemnation come to YOU 24 hours, 7 days a week to pray, praise, worship, and give thanks unto You. Where we can find Your Comfort and Peace that passes all human understanding and Your counsel for every area of our daily lives with Your divine leading through Your Holy Spirit, and Word as we yield, practice and submit to Him in Jesus name. Help us Father to know that when it’s ALL said and done, we will ALL stand before YOU, our eternal Judge in Jesus name, amen.

I agree but the Bible does say something about being rich or beautiful. Jesus and his apostles rebuked the rich and Peter and Paul said that women shouldn’t adorn themselves with outward beauty such as with hair styles and such.

Greetings in the Lord Bruce:

Just want to bring a little more clarity:

Did you know that God sings over us? Zephaniah 3:17

Did you know that God thinks we are wonderfully made? Psalm 139:14
(He wants us to look nice,be clean, smell sweet, and not get self-absorbed with self, but to know that He cares about what’s going on in hearts daily, are we letting Holy Spirit develop His Fruit in our heart, will, mind, emotions and body. Are we learning to Forgive others from the heart let Jesus said to do in Mark 11:24-26). Are we casting down anything that tries to exalt itself over God’s Word and Ways…

God talks a lot about the heart in the Old Testament and Jesus speaks about the heart in the New Testament.

Did you know that God wants All His people to enjoy His Blessings, the Blessings of Abraham? Genesis 12:3. God blessed Abraham’s obedience to HIM. Abraham was wealthy and had 318 employees which all prospered under his leadership.

Did you know that God thinks well of His people? Jeremiah 29:11

God gave John revelations about being in good health, prospering even as a person gets renewed in their thinking with the Word of God. 3 John 1:2

God cares about the whole person and our well-being, but He is always Looking at our hearts( 1 Samuel 16.7)

God’s blessings to you and your household in Jesus name

@Lynne67 God wants love which is a sweet smelling aroma to him. Love doesn’t put stumbling blocks in front of others. Beauty can be a stumbling block in my opinion. And yes we are wonderfully made as you said, but makeup, hair arrangements, and tight clothing are man made but not what God made, so that scripture you refer to doesn’t apply to those things. God gave Adam and Eve clothing but im sure it wasnt fashionable.

Why would we want to look beautiful? In my opinion its a form of lust. We either have lust in our heart for our own beauty or we want others to have lust in their hearts for our beauty. Please explain how its not lust. Let’s remember the words of John:

(1John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. (NKJV))

God doesn’t look at the outside but at the heart, so why would He want us to look beautiful on the outside, especially when his Apostles said not to do that? Consider Paul and Peter’s words. Note that in the Peter scripture the word “merely” isn’t used in the original Greek text. It was added in the English interpretation by fallible scribes. Thats why its written in italic. If you compare Peter with Paul, you will see that Paul did not use such a word. They are both saying not to adorn ourselves with outward beauty.

(1 Peter 3:3 Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— 4 rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the [a]incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. 5 For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, 6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.)

(1 Timothy 2:9 in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and [e]moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10 but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. 11 Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. 12 And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.)

Greetings in the Lord Bruce:

Thank you for your feedback. God truly looks at our hearts daily; you must have missed that in my post.

God used a virgin to bring Jesus into the World:
Jesus used women to give His disciples a message:
Jesus lifted up a woman when the crowd wanted to stone her.

Here’s the Point the letter of the law killeth, it is the Spirit of God that brings the Word of God to life in the hearts of HIS people. (Jesus said it in the Book of John)

God has given us instructions to live by, but it is the Holy Spirit that will empower the born-again child of God to live out the Word with His divine help.

Galatians
Colossians
Philippians
There are so many lessons in the Word of God to live out with the divine help of God’s Holy Spirit and ONLY HE can give revelation to the Word of God and quicken the Word to life in the heart of a born-again believing child of God to live out.

When the Holy Spirit gives revelations to the Word you are studying then it’s a decision on the believer’s part to walk it out with HIM.

Now let’s talk about clothes, words, and respect for others. if women and men are really submitted to God in Jesus name, then their true heart’s desire is to Please God and live His Word out in what they wear, what they say, what they do, and how they treat other people so people can see the Heavenly Father working in their life in Jesus name.

Jesus told His people Not to Judge but to Pray and that’s exactly what every child of God should be practicing daily.

Now when the Holy Spirit gave me revelation on being wonderfully made He was talking about having the character of Christ in my heart, about being renewed in my thinking with the Word of God and living it out with HIM in love, faith, truth, and trust, about looking nice, clean and sweet in my appearance, about being gentle and kind filled with His mercy and grace. Even Jesus said that when you Fast to keep your appearance up. God doesn’t want up to be caught up in SELF but to keep the First things First which is to Please God in what we say, what we think, what we do, what we ware, and how we treat others, and yes to keep ourselves up.

Holy Spirit does not want us to be legalistic, Jesus kept ALL the laws of God,and we His people are under His Grace not to sin, but grace to live out His Word as He gives us revelation. If people are really listening to HIM
then they will be led by HIM in EVERY area of their life with reverence, love, and respect for the Lord. (Jesus said to His people why call me Lord if you do not the things I say…Luke 6:46) Our obedience is very important to God,and the lessons of true obedience comes from His love that’s been shed abroad in our hearts by His Holy Spirit.

Blessings unto you and your household in Jesus name

@Lynne67

Im not being legalistic but im following God’s word. You claim that you follow the spirit not the letter but the spirit gave the apostles the words I follow. Anyway I dont want a huge debate. We will all stand before God to answer for ourselves. I dont want to explain why I failed to walk in love and why I put stumbling blocks in other people’s way. Have a nice day Lynne
