Thoughts on this movie? (And liminal space photography)

My friends want to watch this movie called The Backrooms. It’s an R rated physiological horror film, and PluggedIn does not endorse it and warns about seeing it.

There’s no sex or nudity, but I don’t feel comfortable with R rated films. But I would be the only one not going. Thoughts?

Also, the movie is based on liminal space, an aesthetic I enjoy. I feel like the monster part of it ruins it, I more think the aesthetic is nostalgic and pretty. But do you think it is demonic in nature? A lot of innocent things from UFOs to Yoga are apparently demonic.

Do not go. Simply put, if my friends are doing drugs, or drinking WAY too much, sleeping around, whatever, I choose not to. After a short time, they realized what I was about. They still do their thing, I still do not, and we are still as close as family.

Do not mistake your desire to find an excuse to do it with them for a conflict of interest in your spirit.
