To feel Close to God

Please pray for me as I am going through a difficult time questioning my relationship with God. I yearn to feel that closeness that others talk about. I yearn to hear Gods voice and feel his presence. I feel like I am doing something wrong and the enemy keeps telling me that I am not good enough. Please pray that the Lord will reveal himself to me.

Your relationship with God is unique and beautiful in its own way. It won’t be exactly like other people’s! The way I hear Gods voice is through the reading the Bible. :slight_smile: Recently I had a question and I prayed for God to show me how to do a certain thing, and he led me to a Sermon online that addressed that very need! That was pretty cool!

I find that feeling God’s presence isn’t by chasing a physical sensation but by putting all the faith in my heart towards him in worship.

Satan is a liar and an accuser. Why listen to someone who lies? Is it better to believe Satan that you are not good enough, or is it better to know that God loves you SO much that he sent Christ to die in your place? You are loved passionately by God and you are his child. That is the truth if you believe in the one God sent- Christ.

I pray that Jesus does reveal himself to you in a beautiful way. Take care :slight_smile:

You are not alone. We are praying with you. The Lord is near to all who call on Him in truth (Psalm 145:18), and your yearning is a sign of His Spirit already at work in you. May He quiet the enemy’s lies and draw you into deeper peace through His Word and presence. Keep seeking Him; He promises you will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). We are lifting you up in prayer.

Nine of us is “good enough”. This is why Jesus had to die for our sins.You might want to be careful about your heart felt desire to experience “feelings”. They can be deceptive. It might be safer to grow in our knowledge of truth through his word.
