Я думаю, каждый христианин должен часто об этом думать: “А что бы мне на это сказал Иисус Христос?” В Евангелиях от Матфея, Марка и Луки приведена знаменитая фраза Иисуса: “Кесарю кесарево, Богу — Божие”. Иисус произносит эту фразу в споре с фарисеями, когда те решили скомпрометировать Его, задав вопрос: “Нужно ли платить налог Кесарю?”
Считается, что если бы Иисус ответил “да”, то в Нем бы разочаровались иудеи, которые пытались бороться с римской властью. Если бы Он ответил “нет”, то это расценили бы как мятеж. Поэтому Иисус разделяет земную и божественную власть и отвечает: “Кесарево кесарю, а Божие Богу”.
If we were to ask our Lord Jesus Christ questions about any politics or any problems of life, we would see many answers when we open the Scriptures. And you know how He would answer. I think every Christian should often think about this: “What would Jesus Christ say to me about this?” In the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, there is the famous phrase of Jesus: “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” Jesus utters this phrase in a dispute with the Pharisees, when they decided to compromise Him by asking the question: “Should we pay taxes to Caesar?”
It is believed that if Jesus had answered “yes”, the Jews who were trying to fight the Roman power would have been disappointed in Him. If He had answered “no”, it would have been considered a rebellion. Therefore, Jesus separates earthly and divine power and answers: “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
