Dear Lord,
We come before You to lift up the families and loved ones of those who tragically lost their lives in this plane crash. In this time of deep sorrow and grief, we ask for Your comforting presence to surround them. May they feel Your love through the support of those around them.
We pray for all those impacted by this tragedy—first responders, witnesses, and communities shaken by this loss. Give them wisdom, resilience, and grace in their efforts to bring help and healing.
Lord, we trust in Your mercy and goodness even in the midst of sorrow. Be near to the brokenhearted. May Your light shine in this darkness, and may those grieving find solace in the promise of heaven.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We got this news as it happened on the West Coast and I watched media coverage until the news conference and the confirmation that all had perished. I went to sleep in prayer and with a heavy heart for all those affected by the tragedy.

Yet there remains the hope of life beyond ‘this life’ that sometimes ends suddenly and too soon. We lift and hold the surviving families and friends up to a loving Father.
