The image shown here seems to be the way that I see the vast majority of people use Philippians 4:13 (i.e. overcoming obstacles to reach a desired goal). However, in context, the verse is about having godly contentment in our circumstances. The context is Philippians 4:10 - 14; 10. But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity. 11. Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. 12. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. 13. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. 14. Nevertheless, you have done well to share with me in my affliction.

WHAT Other verse(s) have you seen used out of context?
I see this one taken out of context way too often:
I’ve taken that out of context, too.
I Cor. 1:23
Battering people over the head with your theological beliefs is excused with this one.
I don’t know if I agree with you very much. In the course of fulfilling prophecies about the Messiah in lots of chapters IN Isaiah and Jeremiah, Jesus only fulfilled a verse or two of prophecy out of the whole chapter which at times had nothing to do with the remaining verses. Also, a close look into some of Paul’s epistles like Romans and I think I Corinthians just to mention a few, would reveal that Paul seemed to have (according to you) spoken out of context of the entire chapter or message which was delivered to by original writers.
Just saying (as Paul would put it), all scripture is inspired by God, and is there to meet our needs right when we need it.
To further buttress my point, I’ll seed a file with necessary scriptural references to show you what I mean, but if you still have conytrary opinions, I’m open to learn.
How does one take that verse out of context?
Only by focusing on the here and now, present circumstances. Our hope and future is not grounded or founded on earthly conditions.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God,
Key Context is “sufferings” of v. 18
Ephesians 4:15. That verse doesn’t mean to water-down the truth so it doesn’t offend anyone, it means to speak the truth in an attitude of love.
1 Corinthians 2:9. This verse was talking about the knowledge God has in store for us. Not heaven.
