Want to strengthen my faith

I believe in Jesus because of many prophecies and that I know only a sacrifice from God can take away sins that i put my trust in Him because of the prophecies about Him because I know it is reasonable to believe He is the one because if He was not others would have proved He is not the one and no just God could judge one for believing if not knowing He is so I trust but for some that may not be regarded as faith but I believe it is but I want to strengthen my faith if others can prove to me old testament teaches sabbath and circumcision would not be permanent in new covenant and would like recommendations for how i can rediscover the foundations of faith advice and books to do

My thoughts are

Since bible says there will be a new covenant written on the heart it is reasonable to believe Jesus to be the author of that and can now change the requirement of sabbath and circumcision in new covenant since He also fulfilled prophecies of messiah and such a messiah must be God to take away sins and God afterward always exposes false prophets which He never did so it is right to trust in jesus since one can not know He is wrong but I want my faith to be build up to be more strong with that as was before perhaps to see more how it is impossible for one man to fulfill all prophecies or more verses which prove in old testament that circumcision and sabbath is only temporary but it is clear a just God does not require such sacrifices as david said but the heart to escape eternal punishment but just maybe temporal so if required it must not be seen as required eternally just perhaps temporarily and in that sense perhaps paul means sabbath if it is part of sabbaths is just a shadow

Just what are you putting your faith in?
A man who fulfilled prophecy or in the Son of God who died to pay your penalty for sin, took your guilt and shame, who rose from the dead to show that he had finishedverything his Father had given him to do.

You want to strengthen your faith.

One does that by feeding it, reading the bible, listening to surmons, praying, talking with others about Christianity.
One also strengthens it by exercising it, attending worship, serving, witnessing.

Get involved with a church where the bible is expoundec, where there is outreach into the neighbourhood and where they have missionaries.

Ok thankyou. I do most of that except I havent read the bible from beginning to end in a long time nor do I talk to others about christianity I thought I would do that on forums just to learn from topics. I recently joined a church i will join if talking about it and sometimes ask questions to strengthen faith though I consider still I am a believer because what i said is all that is required to be a believer because not everyone can know bible well to answer my question and no one has to me yet even you but i will still ask about laws but I suppose you answered it that the faith is built on the resurrection which i should focus on to knowing all the proofs but i think is sufficient that it happend because if it was false God would have allowed others to prove it false just by miracles even just make miracles to them to prove they are right such as doing all the miracles christ did such as raising the dead to them and still is not proof it is required to prove they are right to be able to make all christians to force all christians to deny christ by taking over them to possess them initially that all witness it afterwards one can keep faith but God will be with some christians to never be able to that they must prove there is not one they can not make to deny the faith because God never allowed others to mislead those who go to Him to ask proof it is wrong

May I suggest you investigate punctuation and paragraphs to make reading large blocks of print easier.

Jesus said, by thefruit of there lives you will know them.
James said show me your faith, I by my works will show my faith.

If you are a Christian, it will show in how you speak, act and your habits.

Ok I will if I need another response. But I just want to say this as is important that you should not judge others as not believers lest you be judged because what I have done is all that is required to be saved that that is all that some can do and you should not hinder people from coming to christ who all they can do is that. And I am not replying anymore to you or one who treats me like you incase you try to make excuses.

Where have I judged you?
If you think answering a question is judging then you really do have a guilty consence.

The bible does not teach don’t judge, but it teaches make right judgements in the same way God judges and to be prepared to be judged oneself.

Can you say how my reply to you is hindering you coming to Jesus?

The odds of Jesus fulfilling eight specific Old Testament prophecies are estimated to be 1 in 100 quadrillion (1 in 10^17), highlighting the improbability of such an occurrence by chance. However, there are over 300 prophecies that are believed to have been fulfilled by Jesus in the Old Testament.

These prophecies are evidence of Jesus’ identity as the Messiah. Some estimates suggest there are as many as 574 verses in the Old Testament that reference or describe the coming Messiah, with interpretations. There is no doubt. Just read Isaiah 53, and it will seem like he is telling of Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection. Just remember, this was written hundreds of years before Jesus was born.

Now, if you are asking about the Sabbath? Saturday is now, and has always been, the Sabbath. That is what Saturday means. The Sabbath Day. Sunday is now, and always has been, the first day of the week. So if you want to go by the letter of the Law, you should be keeping Saturday as the Sabbath.

However, God is not always concerned with the Letter of the Law. Especially when it comes to the Sabbath. If Sunday is the day you have to keep as a Sabbath Day, God will honor that. After all…

Mark 2:27

“And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.”

So? Why? Why did God create the Sabbath day for you?

“But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.”

It is a day of rest. It is a day to spend time with God. It is a day to enjoy family. It is YOUR day.

How do you “Keep it Holy?”

1 - Pray, spend time with God.

You should, of course, pray to God always. But when you have more than five minutes before you go to work, school, or whatever it is you are doing, you should spend more time with Him. You want to know who God is? Spend time with Him. Talk to Him. Tell Him what is happening in your life. Share with Him your hopes and dreams. Let Him know what your concerns are. Ask Him why this or that is. Ask Him to teach you His way. His plan for you. Just talk to Him.

2 - Read the Bible.

One way you can get to know who God is is by reading His Word. Spend extra time in the Word. Don’t just scan over it, but actually digest it. Get to fully understand what it means. Talk with God while you are doing it. Ask God how this could be, or the reason for that. Allow the conversation to be a two-way conversation. You would be surprised. God can and WILL communicate with you.

The ideal concept of the Sabbath is to do nearly nothing. REST!!!

Yup. rest. We have turned life into a 24/7 life. Work, School, even Play. We need this NOW. We’ve got to get that NOW. If you want to work for some companies, you have to work 24/7. Overnights, Holidays, Weekends. You do not have a choice in some cases.

You know what happens if you go full bore 24/7? You run out of gas. You wear out your body. You can end up killing yourself. We end up training ourselves to go on 4 hours of sleep, overcome tiredness with Caffeine and other, uh, assistance, and we go til we can’t go anymore.

We must learn to rest. Just stop! Just relax. There is nothing worth killing yourself over. You need time to spend learning the things that are really important, and your body needs time to recharge. Learn how to rest.

Peter
