The Hunter Biden pardon has stirred moral and spiritual debates, raising questions about justice, mercy, and accountability. This discussion explores the balance between forgiveness and the biblical call for integrity and fairness in leadership, encouraging reflection on what Scripture says about these vital issues.
The recent pardon of Hunter Biden by President Joe Biden has sparked significant debate across political and ethical landscapes. This decision raises crucial moral and spiritual questions, particularly about the role of justice, mercy, and accountability in leadership. For Christians, these issues resonate deeply, as the Bible consistently speaks to the importance of justice (Micah 6:8) while also emphasizing forgiveness and grace.
This discussion invites us to examine whether such actions align with biblical principles of integrity and fairness. How do we balance the call to forgive with the need to uphold justice, especially when it involves those in positions of influence? What does Scripture say about the responsibilities of leaders when it comes to justice and moral accountability?
How is this good? The prisons all throughout this nation are full of drug abusers who have committed crimes domestically, far less egregious crimes, and are paying for them. Hunter Biden, in my opinion, has gotten away with every evil he has committed with this pardon. These evils also consist of heinous acts upon many innocent young girls that he will not be tried for…not even full grown women which is already bad enough. This has nothing to do with politics. It is a slap to this nation and other nations of people who believe in right and wrong and the importance of justice. God is a just God, a Holy God, and He will repay and when He does, I, for one, will be glad because the harm, the filth, the vulgarities, and the plain evil that Hunter Biden has gotten away with is nauseating and disgusting.
Yes it is wrong. But not as wrong as electing a multiple count convicted felon PRESIDENT. The crickets chirp in this forum about Trump and his criminal nominees, but this is what you think is an outrage?? SMH.
It is wrong, at least from the standpoint that Biden had maintained that he would not use his powers in office to help his son out of his situation. Wrong, but to be honest not entirely surprising.
But, I would feel the same if ANYONE in that office abused their powers.
No crickets here. I know in other discussions I have maintained that Donald Trump would not have been my first … or even tenth choice. But it is truly the lesser of two. The only conviction that can keep someone out of office is treason against the United States. Point of fact, Trump’s convictions are all relating to issues outside of office.
Given my “druthers,” I would have much preferred Mike Pence in office with Dr Ben Carson as his VP.
No, I personally do not have much use for Donald as a member of humanity. But given the choice between a candidate who presents himself as conservative and espousing my views on the sanctity of life … or a candidate (Biden OR Harris) who campaigned openly on the reproductive “rights” of allowing abortion up to not just the heartbeat of the unborn child, but as late as the child could be delivered fully formed and alive or the physician terminates (KILLS) the child, there is really no choice to me.
Really? Have you looked into the laptop reports? Unlike the Russia collusion hoax perpetrated by Obama, Clinton and Biden against Donald Trump-- Hunter’s laptop info is verified. And shock Hunter is a convicted felon-- guilty of multiple counts of drug, and gun charges, money laundering and sex crimes involving minors.
But Father Joe-- the good Catholic that he is, and high priest of presidential forgiveness (no one has ever done this before) exonerates his son-- whom Joe calls the smartest man on earth-- for all of these crimes… the ones we know of, and the ones we don’t know of yet-- going all the way back to 2014.
So even if we discover that Hunter killed people and ate them, ten years ago… he has that ‘get out of jail free card’ that his daddy gifted him after repeatedly promising America he would never grant.
Criminal liar fascist Republican. Trump.
Hunter Biden will never be president unlike Trump whose crimes and 2025 plan will destroy lives. Lives of actual living breathing people-not clumps of cells.
You evangelicals love this stuff. Bow to the golden idol of Trump but howl about the druggie son of Biden. In the name of Jesus.
Due to my devastating and very expensive health situation-and dependence on Medicare, I won’t get over the cuts Himmler and Eichman err- Musk and Oz will be making.
But thanks for your usual display of Christian compassion.
You’re not serious. You actually believe that any state woould allow the killing of a delivered baby? You’ve been sucking to hard on your Trump lollypop and it’s hurt your brain. That Does Not Happen. ANYWHERE!! ABC News anchor Linsey Davis mentioned during her real-time fact check, there is no state where it is legal to kill a baby after birth.
but as late as the child could be delivered fully formed and alive or the physician terminates (KILLS ) the child
I never said killed after birth. I said delivered OR terminated prior to birth. Literally, a pregnant woman could go into a Planned Parenthood (or other such clinic) less than a month before the due date and decide they didn’t wish to have the child and they want it aborted. Presently in the states of Alaska, Colorado, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico and Vermont you can do precisely that! No restrictions on time or condition of the pregnancy. You decide you don’t want it, it’s gone.
You don’t even need to be a resident of those states. You can go there for the express purpose of aborting your unborn child.

Actually, Ralph Northum, if I’m spelling that correctly, the previous Governor of Virginia was interviewed on tv about this very question. He was asked about the dreaded complication, a baby born alive after an abortion and stated that the dr and the mother would have a discussion about what to do. Indicating that they would just let the baby die and not try to save its life if the mother so directed. It’s true. Look it up. Heard it myself. Absolutely horrendous and depraved.
I reckon it was wrong. But in the end, God has the final say. From a biblical viewpoint Ephesians 6:12, GENEVA Bible has this to say. No other translation addresses worldly governors as the princes of darkness. In this verse, the word against is used separating entities except after governors. Something to think about. 12: For we wrestle not AGAINST flesh and blood, but AGAINST principalities, AGAINST powers and AGAINST the worldly governors, the princes of the darkness of this world, AGAINST spiritual wickednesses which are in ye high places.
So maybe the worldly governors includes the POTUS?
