I think one important thing for Christians is to remember both truth and humility during conversations about prophecy and world events.
The Middle East has enormous biblical and historical significance, but at the same time, I think we should be careful about becoming overly confident in our own interpretations of exactly how current events fit into prophecy.
What I do think is always relevant is prayer, compassion for innocent people suffering on all sides, and staying grounded in Scripture rather than fear.
