What does it mean for us today to be "unashamed" of the Gospel?

Romans 1:16 boldly declares, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” This verse reminds us of the transformative and inclusive nature of the Gospel—God’s salvation is available to all who believe, regardless of background.

What does it mean for us today to be “unashamed” of the Gospel? In a world that increasingly challenges faith, how can we live out our belief in the power of God with confidence, sharing it with others boldly and without hesitation? Let’s discuss how this verse speaks to us in our personal faith journeys and how we can encourage one another to stand firm in sharing the Good News.

The goal isn’t to blast people with the Good News that they are headed to hell. The goal is to introduce others to the message of Christ. Once we understand the difference, sharing faith becomes a natural extension of our lives.

Not being ashemed of the gospel means being open about being a Christian and talking naturally about church, about a Christian view of the news, about living a life by the very high standards Jesus set. etc etc.

This can mean rejection, critism and even being disciplined by employers using secular standards of morality.
