The word “believer” shows up all over Christian culture—on T-shirts, coffee mugs, and church welcome signs. But Jesus didn’t just call people to believe. He called them to follow.
Is there a meaningful difference between being a believer in Christ and being a disciple of Christ?
One trusts in Him. The other lays down everything to follow Him. But are we meant to separate those two identities? Can someone truly believe in Jesus yet not walk in obedience and surrender? Or is “disciple” just a more committed version of a believer?
And how would that shape how we live—if we saw ourselves not only as saved but also as sent?
