Have you ever bought a product only to realize later that it didn’t live up to the hype? Some products are so cleverly marketed that we all end up buying into them, even if they don’t deliver on their promises. Think about it: whether it’s overpriced bottled water, a trendy health supplement, or the latest “must-have” gadget, certain items seem designed to empty our wallets without truly enhancing our lives.
What’s a product you think is a massive scam that people keep buying into—and why do you think we fall for it?
I have never bought this but so many do: essential oils. Nothing more than overpriced witchcraft. And it gets pedaled in churches by the same folks who won’t let their kid read Harry Potter books.
Weighted blankets. Supposed to make you feel calm. I got one as a gift and felt like I was being crushed.
I’ve always thought those DNA by mail things that tell you your family ancestry as well as the ones to tell you what kind of dog you have are enormous scams.
Just expensive ways to trick people out of their money.
Hi,
How about the prosperity doctrine that still exists within the church. That if you give your money to the prosperity leader, God will return it to you tenfold.
The scam is, if this were true, they would not be asking for money. They would be trying to give away as much money as possible so they would be the recipients of the tenfold blessing.
Blessings
