I am fortunate to have several family members who can cook well which really makes it hard to narrow it down to just one…
Chili (wife calls it Colorado Sweet Chili but it is definitely not sweet… very spicey)
Taco soup (Which we just had and it was amazing)
Roasted Street Corn
Italian bean soup
some sort of tortellini… oh my goodness it is so good!
Sadly, I have no idea how to make any of these and do not have the recipe but I will try to coerce a family member to provide them for me… many of them just do a bit of that and a dash of that while they “listen to the voices of their ancestors”. chuckles

Old fashioned vegetable beef, chili, and potato soup. Not quite a soup, but beef or lamb stew are faves.

I don’t care for soups. Aside of clam chowder and (specifically) Campbell’s chicken noodle, I don’t like the concept of drinking my dinner.
I have to say I love a good potato soup, tomato soup, or chili! I just recently made “lasagna soup” for the first time, and it was especially yummy! One of my friends made a “firebird chicken tortilla soup” months ago that I haven’t forgotten about. It was made with vegetables all blended smooth, and then shredded chicken is put back in. It was perfectly spicy, and so good for dipping chips in.
Give me any soup and a piece of bread to dip in it, and I’m happy.

The soup I eat determines the sandwich I make to accompany it. Grilled cheese with tomato soup, pimiento cheese with chili, pB& J with vegetable beef.
With stews I like some crusty French bread.
