When people say Christians are bigots-

This is why. I do not think most Christians are like this and even if they were I know they are not God. But the fact that followers of Christ say this stuff is sickening

These are comments on a TPUSA Facebook post on Muslims in America

So these comments are sending the message that these people want to actively shoot and murder Muslims. And they promote Americans as supreme. And yet they likely are pro life. So how can you care about life yet want to end it?

I don’t believe most Christians are bigots. But when people say they are they definitely have proof to say so. This is Nazi like what these people are saying: terminate the unwanted to have a stable society. That is not what Christ taught at all.

This makes me sick. I wonder if sweet Christian people around me are thinking this crud. What should the response be? I love God and Christians, but I don’t want it to be like this.

James made it very simple. Show me your faith without living a Christian life and I’ll show you my Faith by my Christian life.

People whose words, deeds do not match what Christianity teaches are not Christian.

My suggestion to you is to step away from the endless distractions of Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. As the Psalmist prayed, we need to ask God to turn our eyes from ‘worthless things’ (Psalm 119:37). Instead, keep your eyes firmly and resolutely fixed on Christ Jesus, the ‘author and finisher of our faith’ (Hebrews 12:2)

Let me be one hundred percent honest here. Yes, calling for someone’s murder is not all that Christian-like. Saying Islam is a false religion of pedophilia, rape, hate, and violence is simply true. Calling for all Muslims to be away from free countries, due to their own stated goals, is wise.

What is your response to women being property, Homosexuals forced to jump off buildings, torture and death of anyone who claims Christianity, and children forced to have sex with old men? Where is your indignation at a religion that is calling for every house in America to be under Sharia Law, and/or everyone in it killed and it burned to the ground?

You want to post examples of some extremist Christians, yet you excuse Islam? You may want to rethink that.

I don’t excuse Islam. I dislike Islam. What I also don’t like is doing evil back to evil. Example is “You want to kill me so I want to kill yoy

I thought about this a little bit and I think that since God made this earth into a school for us, (I call it the University of Brotherly Love) that the people of the world give us lots of situations where we can practice our lessons. It makes sense to me. He said bless your enemies and do good for them.

Scripture also says, we don’t wrestle with flesh and bone (people), we wrestle with evil spirits, princes and principalities and all things which are evil spirits. No man is the enemy.

But mankind is under serious oppression from evil spirits and they constantly entice people to do evil. Sometimes they do and come against each other.

I’ve prayed for a long time that I’ll never have to shoot any man or kill them. I grew with loaded guns all over the house and dad would take us our regularly to go shooting. SO I’ve always had guns around. I’ve carried a pistol every day for at least the last 40 years, and I haven’t shot anyone yet. Oh I have multiple close calls, but by the grace of God, I was always able to defuse the situation with no shots fired. (Except two, one guy on drugs seeking a home invasion, and one dog attack, but one warning shot each defused those situations).

The man is not the enemy, the spirit behind him is. But even walking with the Lord now, I continue to carry. Most attacks happen in an instant. There will be no time to pray. That’s what a pistol is for. Jesus said have a sword or two, you may need it. So I carry and don’t want to shoot the weirdos and pray I wont have to. But someone may force me to shoot them one day. I will if I have to, God forbid.

So anyone who wants to kill Muslims has not thought it through well enough spiritually. In my re-reading of the bible cover to cover, I noticed something in the OT. When ancient people had enemies or went to war and so forth…it seems like, they treated their enemies with more respect than many people nowadays treat their friends. Who treats enemies with respect today? No one, no humanity, no unwritten rules and having no integrity is the norm now.

But remember, you can love your enemy, and not trust him. Love and trust are separate issues.

One time I prayed for the Lord to teach me how to love people, the way that He loves me.

Within 48 hours of the prayer, I (accidently) became friends with who I learned later is the most obnoxious guy in the neighborhood, nobody likes him, lol. How do I get myself into these things? I asked for it (facepalm).

I can almost hear Jesus thinking about me when I prayed that…You want to love like I do? Here, practice on this man, he’s way nicer than the ones who beat me and crucified me…

I didn’t say a prayer like that one for a long time after that. Because, sometimes He answers your prayers!

Ok, I will pretend that you do not see, nor that you did not mean to call out Christianity, in the defense of Islam, and try to answer your post.

“So these comments are sending the message that these people want to actively shoot and murder Muslims.” Who have stated that they want to shoot and murder Christians, Americans, and, well, anything that is not Muslim?

“And they promote Americans as supreme.” One nation under God, In God we Trust. Freedom OF religion and Freedom for the pursuit of Happiness? Yup. Try to go pretty much anywhere else and try to protest and/or demand they change someone because you are offended. Good luck.

“And yet they likely are pro-life. So how can you care about life yet want to end it?” I’m sure you simply do not understand this point, so let me explain it to you. Thou shalt not commit murder. We kill things all day long. Weeds, Trees, Mosquitoes, Ants, Animals for food, etc. What God is concerned about in this Commandment is the taking of a Human life.

God makes a very clear distinction between two things here. First, the killing of anything but a man is OK with God. He gave us all things to meet our needs. He is also the one who set up the Death Penalty. He who sheds man’s blood shall by man, his blood will be shed. That is how important God sees the life of human beings.

There are four primary ways to end a human life.

1-Premeditated Murder
2-Justified Killings
3-Accidental Death
4-Abortion,

In Psalm 139

" For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee."

Remember, God made us. He created us. He created YOU. You were fashioned per God’s Will. You are the way you are for a reason. You are the most important thing on Earth to God. YOU are.

Premeditated Murder

"And if he smite him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death. And if he smite him with throwing a stone, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death. Or if he smite him with a hand weapon of wood, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death. The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meeteth him, he shall slay him.

But if he thrust him of hatred, or hurl at him by laying of wait, that he die; Or in enmity smite him with his hand, that he die: he that smote him shall surely be put to death; for he is a murderer: the revenger of blood shall slay the murderer, when he meeteth him." Numbers 35:16-21

Pretty clear-cut here. If you murder someone intentionally, for the purpose of their dying, you are guilty of Murder, and God says you should be put to death.

Accidental Death
Continued…

"But if he thrust him suddenly without enmity, or have cast upon him any thing without laying of wait, or with any stone, wherewith a man may die, seeing him not, and cast it upon him, that he die, and was not his enemy, neither sought his harm:

Then the congregation shall judge between the slayer and the revenger of blood according to these judgments: And the congregation shall deliver the slayer out of the hand of the revenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to the city of his refuge, whither he was fled: and he shall abide in it unto the death of the high priest, which was anointed with the holy oil.

But if the slayer shall at any time come without the border of the city of his refuge, whither he was fled; And the revenger of blood find him without the borders of the city of his refuge, and the revenger of blood kill the slayer; he shall not be guilty of blood: Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return into the land of his possession.

So these things shall be for a statute of judgment unto you throughout your generations in all your dwellings." Numbers 35:22-29

So God understands, stuff happens. He understands that you may place yourself in a position where you cause the death of another, unintentionally. By accident. So he set up the Trial by Jury system.

“So these things shall be for a statute of judgment unto you throughout your generations in all your dwellings. Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die. Moreover ye shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death.” Numbers 35:29-31

Do I believe in the Death Penalty? Uh, YES. God set it up.

I don’t believe most Christians are bigots. But when people say they are, they definitely have proof to say so. This is Nazi-like what these people are saying: terminate the unwanted to have a stable society. That is not what Christ taught at all. Yeah, OK.

This makes me sick. I wonder if sweet Christian people around me are thinking this crud. What should the response be? Do not prop up a false hate-filled, pedophilia-loving, woman-oppressing, children-abusing, violent religion while questioning the only TRUE way to Salvation and God. Kinda makes sense, does it not?

I love God and Christians, but I don’t want it to be like this. I don’t want to bow to statues or pray to saints, and because of that, I don’t. No one is forcing you to do those things, so there is no reason to use a made-up strawman to attack Christianity.
Peter

I agree with you that these kind of comments are not Christ-like and do not help the case for Christ at all. There is certainly much in Scripture about speaking with wisdom and not using our words to spew anger, etc.

I will say, not to excuse this kind of rhetoric, but just to add a layer of context, that I think many people who make these kinds of comments have been so conditioned to talk like this they don’t even truly think about what they’re saying in literal terms. I think sometimes it’s more an expression of frustration and fear (which, ultimately, is the sin of not trusting God and wanting to control things yourself). I say this because I grew up around many blue-collar down-to-earth conservatives who I’ve heard speak along these lines, and yet, in practice, I’ve seen them give the shirt off their back, so to speak, to anyone in need, regardless of religion, politics, etc.

All that to say, totally agree that this rhetoric isn’t helpful or godly, but I think we have to meet these people where they are and address their fear. It’s only when we can surrender to Christ and truly trust him that we can unclench our fists and breath a sigh of relief that it’s not our job to control our families, cities, country, or world politically, religiously, or in any other way, even if we think we’re serving Christ by doing so.

So if you think Americans are supreme arnt you showing partiality which the Bible calls wrong

Yes, and no. If I go into a boxing tournament and beat everyone in it, I get a belt that says “I’m the best in the world,” or I am supreme. Run a race, Same. Run a country where our “Poor” are in the top percent of the richest population of the world. Did you know that earning $10,000 a year puts an individual roughly in the top 15% to 20% of global income earners? The median household income worldwide is much lower. Closer to $3,000 a year per person.

To cross into the global top 1% in income, an individual typically needs to earn around $34,000 to $60,000 USD per year, depending on the specific study and whether it accounts for local purchasing power. If you make a typical middle-class salary in the U.S. or Western Europe, you are almost certainly in the global 1%.

Think about this. If you are “poor” in this country, you still have a roof over your head. Electricity, running water, heat, and AC, food on the table, oh, and TV, cellphones, clothes sitting around we never wear, and one to two cars in the driveway. Here is a statistic for ya. Americans spend roughly $465 BILLION every Christmas. The amount American consumers spend buying stuff at the holidays is greater than the GDP of some of the world’s poorest countries.

Then you have our ability to choose our leader. Free votes. We have a constitution that allows for all to be equal, freedom of religion, or the press, freedom of speech, and the pursuit of happiness. Want to get rich, you can here. Elsewhere? Starve and die. Protest, suffer, and die. Your leader is in charge of everything.

So when I or anyone else makes the case that America is far superior, it is not favoritism, nor is it even patriotic. It is simply the truth.
Peter

Well the truth stinks. God why???
