Hi, I am new to the forum and this seems like a great spot to land a first post. By nature I am the kind of personality that is expecting another shoe to drop at any moment. I tend to be a male version of Wednesday Addams by nature. God has taken me quite a long way through the journey to better senses of a reality He rules.
Today I have seen God’s kindness in people just being people. I temporarily have moved to a much quieter area and there seems to be a touch of God’s kindness all around me. Quite often I measure His kindness by another shoe not dropping…lol. But today His kindess is in the air all around me.
I don’t mean for that to be so vague. There is God’s kindness today especially in that I live in a small village like town. A man was crossing the very low speed sidestreet I turned on. He had just starged walking into a very long street crossing. I waited, realizing this is not Los Angeles. Then I began to turn right. But that was also this man’s next move. To cross in front of me…again…lol. As he started out he smiled graciously and laughed as he waved. Acknowledging me being patient and kind.
The kindness in that to me is not that I was patient with someone. The kindess of the Lord in that moment, to me, was the man’s smile. Acknowelding gratitude and the honoring of sharing a moment together through time. Where we can see that if mere mortals spark a small slice of intimacy in something some typically irrelevan and under the radar as meanful much, how it look when God Himself does the even slightest gesture toward us, His creation.
