Who has the greater sin? The one who is struggling to forgive the person or organization who falsely accused, slandered, gossiped and destroyed an individual’s reputation or the one who did the accusing?
MATT 5:39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also (NKJV).So, if you do not forgive, have you followed the words of Jesus? I think He was talking about anything said or done to you, possibly short of life threatening. False accusations, even if based upon nothing more than a perception or a misunderstood word or action will eventually come back to that person. Let it go! Give it to Jesus. Move on.
Let me know when you lose everything because of false accusations, and then you forgave them. When that happens to you then come and preach to me about forgiveness. In the meantime learn what it means to be compassionate. Isaiah 49:13 Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.
"When that happens to you then come and preach to me about forgiveness. "
I was not preaching. Just my opinion; an answer to your question. You ask a question, get a response, then come back with what I put in parentheses? Sweet! Have a nice day!
