Will there be tears in heaven?

Revelation 7:17 gives us a beautiful promise of eternal comfort and guidance, as it says, “For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

In today’s Through the #frontwood I mention how God promises to wipe away every tear. Does that mean that we will still have tears in heaven but that God himself will be our comforter?

I like to think that there will be tears in Heaven: tears of joy!

Will there be tears in heaven?

It’s comforting to know that in heaven, there will be no more sorrow, pain, or tears. Revelation 21:4 beautifully promises that God will “wipe away every tear from their eyes.” This verse emphasizes the complete removal of all suffering, indicating that the burdens and heartaches we experience on earth will not carry over into our eternal life with Him. It reassures us that heaven is a place of perfect peace and joy, where the former struggles of this world will be no more.

The ultimate hope in this promise is that God Himself will personally comfort us, erasing all sources of pain and mourning. This assurance of His loving care and the absence of pain in heaven is a source of immense comfort for believers, especially when faced with the hardships of life.

Happy tears. We can’t go into the eternity with problems and trouble makers.

I think it’s completely allegorical. You know how it’s hard to see clearly through tears? Well maybe Jesus was saying that He would allow us to see clearly past the troubles we faced on this earth; He will open our eyes so that we can see how Jesus was glorified through every circumstance even if we didn’t see it.
