I wrote a paper (78pages, if I remember correctly) on the economic impact of camp meetings on their communities during the Great Depression. As all budding historians, I thought I had discovered unique and valuable information. What I had discovered is a unique and valuable way to put people to sleep. I got an A, but I had a feeling my advisor skimmed a lot!
My best paper was on the Mountain Meadows Massacre, where Mormons attacked and killed a wagon train headed to California. Very exciting and horrific stuff. No one fell asleep reading that one!
