Creation and Evolution

My parents don’t go about it that way, praise God. They show me what other kids in public schools are taught and show me how it doesn’t align with the bible. I really appreciate them.

This may explain why creationism is not a science.

Creationism isn’t based on empirical evidence.

Creationism has predetermined answers the opposite of scientific inquiry. Instead of asking “what happened?” Creationism asks “how can I back up my predetermined views?”

Attacks on science and evolution are not based in science. It is apologetics.

See if you can pull up the old debates between Hamm and Bill Nye.

How do you think people identified you as home-schooled?

You’re wrong. I read some of ICR’s articles and they actually conducted their very own study. If you read some of their articles, you’ll see that Evolutionists also ask

Both sides are guilty of this. Not just us Creationists.

I’m not really sure. I guess it’s my arguing style. @Historyprof also mentioned that I sounded ‘closed-in.’ I’ve gotta hand it to you @Historyprof, you have very good reasoning abilities. Hopefully I can reach your level one day. I’m serious.

It goes against everything scientific inquiry demands. And, on a rare occasion some scientists did, peer review would catch it.

It’s a naivety and a misplaced self-confidence that betrays you.

If you put as much effort into your other studies as you do scripture, no doubt you will be very successful in your chosen field.

I call it the vigor of youth. I wish I still had it.

Unfortunately, I have a very low self-confidence. But I do have a moderate God-confidence. That’s why I speak with absolute certainty when speaking of what God clearly says in His word. I have no problem admitting my naivety. It’s true. That’s why I joined the forums; so that I could gain experience.

And don’t forget vim!

Vim and vigor!

-but what the hell is vim?

Not if the peers wanted more support for their argument. I’ll find some links for you.

Do you play chess? It is a great confidence and debate skill builder. the secret to both is anticipating the opponent’s next move.

Now, in discussions like evolution and creationism, I don’t try to “win”. I explain why I believe and what I believe as simply as possible. Leave others with food for thought.

The church, since the Middle Ages, has seen science as a competitor with Christianity. Copernicus snd Galileo certainly paid a price for that. I believe it is not a competitor, but an explainer of concepts the writers of the Bible could not imagine.

And remember, science does not say there is no God. Science states that it cannot prove nor disprove the existence of God.

Please no conspiracy theories. Hard evidence only from scientific journals, which would report such a thing. You don’t understand how peer review works.

I do the same thing. At least I try to.

I learned that in School. I agree.

I love chess.

I’ll take white.

I have always felt that the Ruy Lopez was the best opening when you had the white pieces.

On a personal level, I’m inclined to ask.

What colleges are you considering?

God wants me to go to CBI (Calvary Bible Institute). If He didn’t tell me to go there, I probably would just skip college and work on my Charter Pilot business.

God wants you to go? Where do you want to go?

Charter pilot?

Why not?
