I’m honestly not sure why God wants me to go. I don’t want to go anywhere. I want to be a Charter pilot. At most, I’d want to go to a trade school. At least, I’d wanna be a Charter Pilot’s apprentice.
Didn’t Calvary have some serous issues a while back? And their entire faculty are Calvary Chapel pastors?
Let me gently warn you. As an academic professional with degrees from several universities… ask God about some other Christian colleges with better leadership and academic reputation.
I trust in God. I believe that has my best interest in mind. I’m going to do whatever He tells me to do. I genuinely appreciate your concern though.
I am highly concerned. I have seen too many church kids go down this road.
Don’t worry. God’s got me.
Have you looked at Hillsdale College? A great choice and popular among many home schoolers.
Seven Glorious Days by Karl Giberson is a good look at theistic evolution
Look, it’s already settled: God wants me to go to CBI. There’s no way around it. Do I want to go? Not really. Am I going to go? Yes. Why? Because I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t obey God’s calling.
What was I supposed to say? ‘No, He’s not. I guess Genesis is a book of lies.’? No way Jose! And I’m not ignoring science. Science actually backs up my claims. I actually almost fell into the ‘Genesis is a fairytale’ trap a while back. The ICR and AIG straightened me out on that using science.
These aren’t conspiracy theories, some of the guys at ICR have discovered this by reading the journals. And it’s kinda hard for peers to find something wrong with something they already agree with, you gotta admit. I know how peer review works. You’re probably going to say, “It’s not just them, it’s you creationists as well.” I’d have to agree with you; both sides are guilty.
No i won’t say that since creationists don’t use peer review. And attacking peer re ire is just desperate. Peer te ire is agresfivr and looks for holes. Many times research goes unpublished because it isn’t enough to get past peer review.
Once again watch the videos and see Ken Hamm get his butt handed back to him in a sling because his attempts to discredit science are an embarrassment for Christianity and simply wrong to everyone else.
If you can’t come up with anything better, back down.
I’m not sure if this is a debate or not @Historyprof , but we’ve both committed number 3.
So, in this case we must ask: “Who is the greater authority? The scientific journals, or God?”
On the contrary! Read this: Creationism, Science and Peer Review
Creationists do not use peer review.
Your appeal to God is certainly a higher authority.
Stating factual information and accepted process within the field of study is not.
And you do not represent God.
Read the link.
I concur.
I re-concur.
Actually, I do. 2 Corinthians 5:20 says: “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.” That does not, however, mean that my views are always going to be a reflection of His and vice versa. In this case, my views are His views. Read Genesis chapter 1-2.
I have read those scriptures. Written by MEN. Inspired by God.
There are two creation stories in Genesis. Which one do you defend? Or both?
I’m sorry. I can’t.
As much as I’d like to, I just can’t engage. It would be like talking about the Coronavirus three years ago with someone who just took their fourth booster.
“My views are His views” @Rev12_11 has to be about the most foolish and arrogant statement I’ve read on this site.
That is NOT a credible source snd the statements about scientists peer review are outright lies. Your whole argument is an attempt to defend pseudoscience.
It is like trying to discuss the topic with a soft drink machine.

That’s not what I said. I said
Now that I think about it, I probably should have said “His views are my views” for clarity’s sake.
You’ve gotta admit, what they said is logical. If it sounded stupid, I wouldn’t have even mentioned it. I can’t stand stupidity. Especially when people try to defend it. I’m not talking about you personally @Historyprof, I mean in general.
It’s not what you said? Here’s the direct quote. Learn to keep your powder dry.
It’s dishonest to insist you didn’t say something while at the same time quoting where you did just that.
