Hey if you could please. Watch the movie spaceman, with Adam Sandler. let me know what you think about the alien?
I do not agree. But I’m not the judge of who will be in heaven. My father told me “you will be surprised at who is in heaven and who is not!”
Now my dad is in heaven, his faith and fruit of his works say so to me.
I believe 2 of my friends will be in heaven. The fruit of their works and the faith they proclaim say so to me.
Now Mary, not her real name, is profoundly Catholic yet I cannot say she is not my sister in the Lord. She is more “Christian “~ Christ-like than I ever could be. Same with Tom, not his real name. I know a fellow from Bible school who is a Bible scholar ( I can’t remember if OT or NT) and says he is not now a Believer. I don’t understand that. But since I don’t know his daily life, just his present writings, I’ve no right to judge.
On the other hand, I do not disagree with you.
There are people of other faiths who might have no real personal knowledge of God who will not be included. Basicly because they oppose God.
I also am aware that there are people with an incredible knowledge of God but it misses heart knowledge by leaps and bounds. Will they go to heaven? My housemate is in the category.
I think we like to play judge and jury far too fast. We must hear their witness, their testimony and see if their walk is like their talk
There is a song that says:
I want to live like Jesus for all of my days; I want to live Jesus let love be the way…
This is how I want to be remembered as a believer.
Simple. Bible? True. Non-Bible, or opposed to the Bible? False. Feeling matters not. Copassion matters not. Love matters not if it is not a Biblical love. Sorry, just a fact. You can be the nicest, most loving human ever to walk the earth, next to Jesus of course; however, if you leave Jesus and His Word out, YES, you will not be forgiven, saved, or live on with God. Why? God says so.
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
No wiggle room. No alternatives, no excuses.
“Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12
Really, is that simple? Besides, consider how arrogant the notion is that there is another way. God saw ALL Mankind’s Sin, and our Sin is now inherent, no matter how righteous one may FEEL. So God made the way of forgiveness and reconciliation simple and open to all. Repent, turn away from the world’s version of right and wrong, sin and good, and accept Jesus. It does not matter if you are rich, poor, black, white, male or female, oh, and yes, even if you are Buddhist or Muslim. Simply?
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16
This is the only way. This is the only moral guide.
“Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.” John 17:17
Anything else is a lie. Do I know who will be in Heaven? Of course not, I’m truly hoping that I’m surprised by some. That is between them and God. However, God has shown us the way to show others. That way is Jesus. To know Him is His Word. Just because you may reject it, does not mean it is not the Truth.
Peter
Amen. Yes, the Bible teaches. Not Peter, @Bruce_Leiter , or @Johann ,Or anyone else. God. God alone.
Peter
I do feel, sadly, this is correct. People of other faiths who reject the Truth will not go to heaven. Yes, I do agree with you. I know many “Christians” who are some of the nastiest people I have ever met. The Holier than now club. These are those I think Jesus would be correcting today.
I have never advocated judging who goes to heaven or hell. That is FAR beyond me. Only God knows the heart. However, He gave us the formula. He gave us the plan to share with others. There is a difference in explaining the danger of something, and wishing, or condemning someone to do it. I can know, and I do, that my fireplace is hot when there is a fire going. I warn my children not go near or put their hands in it. They do. They get burned. Did I cause that? No. Did the fire cause that because of their disobedience? No. Did they willfully do what I warned them about? Yes. Just because I know the truth and warn them does not mean I want them to get burned.
Peter
The only thing that matters is ones relationship to Jesus, as John14:6 says:=
** **Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. **7 **If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.
we don’t know other peoples relationship we can only see how they live.
OK I see where your at. I was there too. Check out gen 1:28. How do you subdued the earth? You populate it. Gods mysteries are to be revealed in the own time according to scripture. How he works, What he does, and how he does it. But commanding Adam and eve what he did shows a design in the beginning. Why did he put the cunning one in the garden? Did he not know that his created ones would fall? Just wanting to know him and be more like him?
You keep it from killing you.
Take dominion over dangerous animals, protect your flocks. Build shelters, cultivate the ground for food.
Then: you invent refrigeration and air conditioning, discover electricity, send your voice over wires, devise medicines and so on, drill for oil, learn how to fly in airplanes.
Build dams, travel in cars, use pesticides and fertilizers, discover germs and antibiotics, keep things clean and sanitary, don’t foul your wells with waste.
Understand that the earth has been designed by God to be deadly challenging in many ways. You might work for months to put in a crop, and just when it’s ready to harvest, it could be wiped out by weather, by locusts, by animals. Be ready. Be courageous, work hard, don’t expect it to be easy.
That’s my opinion on what that means!
We are attempting to answer the rest of your questions on other threads - take a look around. We would invite you to participate!

I like that. So what god camanded them to do has been done. One thing that gets me, when I think about it? Abraham’s story.
But also remember who is responsible for tilling the land. Cain. A vagabond and wonderer. Plot thickens. still no answers. A vagabond is defined as a outlaw. I believe this vagabonds Story is important what do you think?
Yes, a very important story for all of us. And we have clear answers, from God’s word.
Genesis Chapter 4:
“2. Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil.
-
In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord.
-
And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering,
-
but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.
-
Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?
-
If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
We can correctly assume from this passage that Cain knew what God meant by “doing what is right”. Perhaps Cain brought the left-overs of his harvest, while Abel brought the fat portions. God expects us to offer from the best, the first-fruits, of our harvest. So that’s the first lesson. God’s lack of favor on Cain’s offering was a gentle rebuke.
But it made Cain angry. His anger further revealed Cain’s insubordinate attitude toward God. Always a sin, always stupid. Just downright ridiculous. For some reason, Cain had decided that he didn’t need to BELIEVE God.
SO God gave him some remedial training. Just do what is right, and you will be accepted. But if you decide to NOT BELIEVE, be sure of one thing. Sin is crouching at your door. Its desire is to steal from you, destroy you, kill you, own you. You MUST master it.
You MUST ALWAYS BELIEVE ME. Every word. Then, you must do the hard thing, which is denying your thinking, and accepting my instructions. Then you will be doing what is right.
This is the pattern of failure that always follows when we reject God and do our own thing. We not only deprive ourselves of God’s blessing - we hurt others. Even up to betraying and killing our own brothers.
Some might suppose that the life of a vagabond sounds like footloose freedom. The vagabond can at least be admired for doing it his own way.
How stupid. What a waste. He deserved his curse. After all, it’s what he chose.
Your brother
You forget one thing? Let me get you there! Your beliefe! Is sound.but so was legions. To seek life is to die. Or is it?
O! your off track. Give me some time on this one. I’ve been down this road. In thought of course. So I would keep it there. In thought.
How? If you could? elaborate further. Show me the proof of life. I’ll show you death! Show me his life? And I’ll show you his death! You kill him i will resorect him! You resorect him? I’ll kill him.a challenge! Worthy? Or was it vanity?
Why the important story of Cain and Able (C&A) demonstrates an answer to the topic question:“Do people of different faiths/religions go to Heaven?”
It started with the two boys’ parents. After A&E had disobeyed in unbelief, after God had explained to them the full consequences of their disobedience, after the world changed completely, the word of God says this:
Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them. (Genesis 3:21)
Leather garments to cover them, not fig leaves, not cotton shirts and hemp pants, but animal skin coverings. Animals had to die to provide man’s covering. This was the birth of “sacrifice”. Here God must have explained how to picture, through sacrifice, the ultimate covering that would one day take away their sin, the death of God Himself; broken body, shed blood!
Adam must have taught this to his two boys, because C&A knew it was right to bring a “sacrifice”, they must have known they were pictureing the future ultimate sacrifice of God in their place in Jesus. Cain knew this, Able knew this. One time, (probably not the first time) Cain must have just thought he could make the same gesture with that which was easier for him to obtain, that which came from his own garden. “What’s the harm”? He was wrong. Details matter.
We must disabuse ourselves of any notion that God instituted the rite of “sacrifice” because God neede men to give him their best stuff, as if God had any use for any stuff. We also must disabuse ourselves of the popular notion that sacrifice was designed to make people give up the stuff they really wanted to keep for themselves. This is how we use the word in modern parlance; I might say “I sacrificed my time to write this”. Nonsense; I sacrificed nothing; no animals were harmed in the writing of this post! God has never needed anyone to give up stuff they wanted to keep because God has always given supurflously, far more than a man needs. God is always the giver, and men are always the recievers. Man has never had any reason to keep part back for himself. (think of manna)
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this," Says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the LORD of hosts; (Malachi 3:10-11)
Sacrifice is how men physically depict their trust in the ultimate sacrifice God will make for them through the death of an animal. A&E knew this because God must have told them. C&A must have known this (I interpolate) because their parents loved their boys enough to tell them exactly what God had said.
The sacrifice of Jesus, the long-awaited Christ, is how A&E were saved and how every other person since has been saved. Jesus is the ‘stone which was rejected by the builders. He has become the chief cornerstone.’
Nor is there salvation in any other (or by any other means), for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:11-12).
Most of you reading this already know all this. Even so, I’m telling you because God Himself told me.

Answer me this? Why did god deliver Cain? read the scripts. Eve said herself. It was the hand of God who delivered Cain. Kinda makes you think right? But when able was born it’s a different story. She did not praise God for his delivery. read the scriptures.
@Hungry
You’re going to have to explain a little more. This is what we know of their births:
Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, “I have acquired a man from the LORD.”
Then she bore again, this time his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
(Genesis 4:1-2)
We note that the word “Cain” (H: qayin) means “aquired” (H:qānāh) and speaks of Eve acknowledging God as the giver; she credits God for giving her a son, a man.. Realize this was unprecidented. Cain was the First born of the earth, and he just came out of Even’s body. She had never seen this before. She exclaims he came as a gift from God.
So, In my version, I don’t read:
I don’t parse that passage in the same way you do.
Also, You say:
What we actually know is only that Eve’s response to the delivery of Able is not recorded. We don’t know what she said, except she named him Able (heb̠el) Ironically, his hebel means “vanity, wind,” and may portend his needlessly shortened life.

And check this out. Ones personal walk with God can not be known. Because if one knew. the mystery would definitely be over. here is what would happen. he would not be able to keep his mouth shut. So conquer your mouth and then conquer your thoughts. After that conquer your girl! the one you married make her your lost rib apart of you. And if you seceed then may God bless you. And her family too. So if there is not just one then there is two. And if there is two idk your pen
What is going on here? im so lost now…. You have blown my mind here
Uh oh. This does happen once in a while.
