I have not been to church since 2000. But I have a pastor now. He is gifted in the Word and Spirit. His gentle and loving nature shows as he takes time to answer even the snarkiest of posts. To me, he has been closer and more supportive than anyone I have ever known in my 51 years.
He is my brother, pastor, and friend, PeterC. I want everyone here to know how thankful to God I am that he is here. I believe all of us here who have gained wisdom or peace from his writings should pray a blessing of grace and healing on him.
@Johann is my friend, and my theological go to when I have a question concerning the translation of scripture. @PeterC is my friend, and someone who is my go to when I have questions concerning the physical state of our “church”, as well as the spiritual state. When I say church, I mean this forum. I, also, don’t attend church often, but it’s my schedule that prevents me from doing so. It’s hard to live in 2 places, and find community like this, even IN church. @ellenvera is the voice of grace that I need to hear when I’m feeling offended by the world.
There are so many people here to contribute so much to this forum, and I learn so much when I’m engaging with others here, but special mention has to go to my brother, my friend, one who is so inspiring! To consider where he is, what he is going through where he is, and just how amazing his walk with the Lord is! @Inmate you are an inspiration! I pray for you all the time. Stay salty! Stay lit!
