JEHOVAH’s Witnesses are Christians who follow the Bible, its teachings and principles, including those of Christ. We follow what Christianity was in the first century.
I’ll follow Melissah’s advice since I’m not here to “pick a bone” with you but do have a problem with your Organization, Kingdom Hall.
So no more questions from my side since you are also an image bearer of our Lord Christ Jesus and used to antagonism, door to door.
Pity you avoided a meaningful dialogue, but I do understand your stance.
J.
Thank you my friend for taking your time to explain this to me and again i apologize for my lack of knowledge pertaining to that matter. @Gospel
JEHOVAH’s Witnesses search out all available evidence and reasoning to follow Christ with all of their might. Someone becomes a JEHOVAH’s Witnesses precisely because they are convinced that the Word of God is the truth.
They have used their own independent thinking and made their own research in order to decide for thmselves to dedicate their life to God. I studied the Bible with them and their beliefs/behavior are in accordance to what I read, so I got baptized in 2017 to show my gratutude for what JEHOVAH and Jesus have done for me.
I do not know any other religion that promotes God’s name, supports his Kingdom over all other governments, preach his Word from door to door as the first Christians did, shun wars, show love to one another and do not permit immorality and other displays of ungodliness inside the congregation.
During the Rwandan conflict, Hutus and Tutsis genocided each other, often encourages by religious leaders.
Except JEHOVAH’s Witnesses. Despite the ongoing racial battle, Hutu and Tutsi JEHOVAH’s Witnesses did NOT do any such things and instead LOVED and PROTECTED each other to the peril of their lives, because our master is JEHOVAH, not the state.
Now just be careful here @Gospel and don’t sit as a judge and umpire on those not in the JW’s organisation, especially on their, and my salvation eis Yeshua HaMashiach.
You haven’t even listen to Melissa and you are set in what you believe is the truth, and you have yet to answer penetrating questions re your religion.
Why is that?
Johann.
Can you please show me which question did I not answer?
Go back to the beginning of this onesided discussion, and do listen to the podcasts, not for your sake, but for the readers.
I am very familiar with the JW’s and their beliefs brother.
J.
I am already very familiar with the protestants and their beliefs. Can you please show me which question did I not answer?
I am not a Protestant.
J.
Melissah’s video, which you wanted me to watch, is a protestant. And I am already very familiar with the protestants and their beliefs. Can you please show me which question did I not answer?
@Gospel Really? now this maybe interesting, seriously you are a christian? Or Jehovah’s witness are christians?
@Johann what question did he not answer? Lets not beat around the bush if he didnt answer, then point out which one or re ask it and get on with it, lets not make it a guessing game my brother and friend
Mike Winger’s questions, go back to the beginning of my posts to him @paulhinkle today, follow the thread.
J.
Just to make sure I understand your demand, you want me to watch this video, which is 1 hour and 35 minutes, and answer to it?
Yes. We are Christians because:
- We try to follow closely the teachings and behavior of Jesus Christ.—[1 Peter 2:21]
- We believe that Jesus is the key to salvation, that “there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”—[Acts 4:12]
- When people become JEHOVAH’s Witnesses, they are baptized in the name of Jesus.—[Matthew 28:18, 19]
- We offer our prayers in Jesus’ name.—[John 15:16]
- We believe that Jesus is the Head, or the one appointed to have authority, over every man.—[1 Corinthians 11:3]
i think maybe this is the question you missed @Gospel not positive but is what ifound???
Go back even further @Gospel and should you wish, we can have a dialogue, not circular reasoning.
J.
I that case, yes I agree that these verses make it clear that Scripture warns against cults and false teachers by urging believers to test everything against God’s Word, to avoid calling wrong “right,” and to hold fast to the true gospel.
I went back and I did not find the questions you are referring to, can you please post them again? I will gladly answer them
he said it was back further but im here to learn not an easter egg hunt so if he is not going to reveal which question you missed i would like to hear more about how you (jehovah’s witness) are christians @Gospel
