No Matter how Much you Love Someone

Their Journey

No matter how much you Love someone,
Whatever your connection to the Past…
No matter what you have to give they need to receive;
You can never make their journey your own…

No matter how Wise you may be,
Kind, compassionate and good…
Though you cure and save ten millions lost ones;
Yet you cannot impose on some your will…

Though you’ve been through a million battles of your own,
And scaled mountains and oceans and armies…
Though you’ve witnessed more miracles than any soul would believe;
When it comes down to it there are them what you just must leave be.,.

This is a truism of the day and age in which we live. Live with it.

Sometimes you just need to let go and let God, but never let go of prayer.

Greetings in Christ JESUS, sister Bestill
I hope everything is going well with you, and with all the others brothers and sisters here.

Every day I pray to GOD to bless His people throughout the Earth, granting victories in struggles and difficulties, supplying the needs of each one, and healing the sick among His people. I also ask the Lord to bless each of His servants, my brothers and sisters, and also the children of His servants, and prosper them all in their activities an daily works. Amen.

Romans 14:17-19:
17 For the Kingdom of GOD is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to GOD, and approved of men.

19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

Matthew 5:5 ->(combined with Revelation 5:10):
5 → Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Matthew 13:44:
The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field

Matthew 25:31-34:
31 When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him->(Luke 20:35-36, take a look), then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory: ->(the Judgment Seat of Christ)

32 And before Him shall be gathered all nations->(this will happen from now on): and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.->(2Timothy 2:19).

34 Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Revelation 22:15-17
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the Churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Revelation 16:15 → 15 Behold, I come as a thief. …

May our Lord GOD bless us and keep us, and give us His protection
Amen.

Is it a fact that yes, you are obligated, but not responsible, for others? Look at this command that God gave to Ezekiel in Ezekiel 3:16-21

“And at the end of seven days, the word of the Lord came to me: ‘Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them a warning from me. If I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.

But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul. Again, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, but his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning, and you will have delivered your soul.”

Now I understand that God is talking to Ezekiel here. He is talking to you as well. Jesus also told us this.

“Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him, they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:16-20

We are obligated to be sowers of the Seed. Tellers of the Truth. Sharers of the Gospel. However? We are not responsible for their acceptance.

You tell them the Truth. John 3:16-18

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”

You share with them all of the Gospel, and they say, “I do not believe in God.” Or “I do not believe that you have to accept Jesus to get to Heaven.” Or “religion is for idiots.” Something to this effect. Have you failed? Have you not communicated properly? Are you responsible for the fact that they will now die, not accepting Christ, and forever be cast out?

You think about this. Someone you care about, someone you love, and you have the key to give them, so that they may enter into Heaven, and yet, they are on their way to Hell. Have you failed to save them?

The simple answer is NO. You have fulfilled your obligation. You are now free and clear. You have told them the Truth. You are not responsible for their decision to accept or not. It is your responsibility to tell people the Truth. It is your responsibility to live as God commanded us to live.

The truth is simple. Believe and accept Jesus, and live. Or do not, and die. This is the message. The truth. This is what we are obligated to tell people. “he that believeth not is condemned already because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Not that God is going to condemn you. You are condemned already. Not that God is looking to punish you. But rather God is looking to save you. Tell them this, and then it is between them and God.

Peter

Greetings to you, @Oseas. Thank you for your prayers for the church. I do have an ongoing problem that I’m praying about and am torn as to what the Lord would want me to do. I know what the Bible tell us. To love our enemies. To give to their needs. To share with them the truth of the gospel. What I don’t know is when to stop ministering to them and what are the appropriate boundaries. I’ve set up boundaries for my own sake, but truthfully I would like to be done.

There is an NFA (no fixed address) who’s latched onto me in his need. I know him from my volunteer work with the homeless. He’s in deep need right now but he’s also very difficult to deal with. Swearing, drug use, stealing and I think going a bit off his rocker. He needs professional help but refuses it. I’ve shared the gospel but he’s so overwhelmed it doesn’t sink in. I would like to walk away but what does God want me to do? I limit my interaction, and my giving. I am torn on what’s right so prayers in this area are most welcome.

Any outreach ministries where you are @Bestill ?

J.

Yes @Johann, and that is really what he needs to do. I’ve known him for a few years and can see that his mental state is not doing so good. He will call outreach and hopefully they can help, but he’s been evicted from the main and most helpful place. Thank you for asking.

Peace of the Lord be with you, sister @Bestill

The content of your post deserved the best of my attention.

Specifically, or in particular, we can or should help someone in need, but not as an endless obligation even to a single person in need. Regarding the poor, based in Scriptures, the most important thing is to give preference in helping those who are of the household of faith, they which are within the fellowship of the Church:->Galatians 6:10 says:-> As we have therefore OPPORTUNITY, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the HOUSEHOLD of faith.

As I can discern by your own words, you, sister, you are dealing with someone dangerous, known as treacherous persons; so prudence is necessary since such person has become latched onto you.

Honestly, in my understanding, in this scenario the one who needs or is needing of help is my beloved sister, to be free of this uncomfortable situation. So, if there is any philanthropic entity or shelter specifically to help this type of person, it would be a way to try to help by appealing to that particular entity to take him in and care of him.

It’s how I judge.

May our Lord GOD bless you, sister, and give you His protection
Amen

Thank you @Oseas. I appreciate what you’ve said. The danger to me is not physical. Of this I’m sure. The danger though is emotional and in particular my indecisiveness. I would love to be told what to do, but realize that isn’t going to happen. It’s a choice and I want to make the Godly choice. I have always seen the Godly choice as helping, but I can’t really do anything to help the situation. Only he can help the situation and only if he puts his faith in God. I know what God means by blindness in the Bible and he is a living example of such blindness. I will talk with him now and then, but most calls I will ignore. I’ve decided to put in some distance and continue in prayer for him.

There’s a verse in 1 Samuel 16 that keeps coming to mind.

The Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way

God had rejected Saul as king and Samuel is mourning over him. It’s not that my NFA friend is rejected by God, but that it is God who is sovereign over him and not me. I can’t be of two minds and neither could Samuel. He’s been told to put oil in his lamp and be about God’s business. As Samuel sits and mourns over what is, God is challenging him to what’s now.

Praise be to God.

Sister @Bestill, I understand your concern and hope the Lord will guide you according to your wishes.

I remember that our Lord Jeus came to save the world (John 12:47), but in His prayer to the Father, He did not intercede for the world. → John 17:6 and 9:->**6 **I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. **9 **I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

Romans 12:18 and 13:→** If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all…→13(speaking of the needs)** Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

**And Colossians 3:16-17, say:16 **Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

**17 **And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.

God bless
