It is taboo in the world simply because Jesus said “you (Christians) will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.”
The name of Jesus stands against everything the world stands for, and because the world knows that, they hate it.
The sinner does not want to be told that he is in sin, because he does not want to give up his sin, he likes his sin…and when the name of Jesus stands against that, well, we have seen what the world does in the life of people like Charlie Kirk.
Why was he hated? Why do people to this day still hate him? Because he spoke the truth and the darkness hates the truth, the darkness hates the Light, which is why they also hate those walking in the light.

Good article. However, I think the answer to “Why Is the Name of Jesus So Taboo?” is pretty simple.
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
Why?
"And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
It does not matter if you are a good person. Do good things. Say good things. Teach religion, give millions to the poor, and follow Muhammad, Buddha, or even an antichrist; you are not saved, nor can or will you lead anyone else to God. Remember what Peter and John were admonished?
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus. But seeing the man who was healed standing beside them, they had nothing to say in opposition.”
No stop. Did they dispute the works? No. Did they have a problem with these uneducated men teaching religion? No. They were what? “They were astonished.” Continue..
“But when they had commanded them to leave the council, they conferred with one another, saying, ‘What shall we do with these men? For that a notable sign has been performed through them is evident to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. But in order that it may spread no further among the people, let us warn them to speak no more to anyone in this name.’ So they called them and charged them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.” Acts 4:13-18
Again, they had no issue with them teaching religion. Even doing good works. They wanted them to stop using the name Jesus, so what? “That it may spread no further.” Did you catch that? Why?
“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,” 1 Timothy 2:5
Simply put,
“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” John 3:36
Religion is no salvation. Works are not salvation. Jesus is the only Salvation. This is why His name is so hated and feared. Oh, and He is God, so there’s that.
